If I owned that bike, you couldn't keep my ass off of it!!!!!! Great restoration!!¡!
how much cc was it good sir?
@@soviethog7874 ....750 yes, all good.
What wax do you apply to chrome/alloy and how do you apply it?
@@alansivkoff282 ... Mothers California Gold paste wax. Cotton cloth to apply, another clean cotton rag to buff and a leather chammy to finish it off.
My Dad has a Panther I grew up with… has a Girard sidecar. We’d go to vintage rides and rallies all the time. Those Dowty air forks were so unreliable my job was to carry a little hand pump, when he gave me the thumbs down sign I’d slide open the window of the sidecar, reach out, spin the pump on the schrader valve and give some pumps to fill pressure them back up!
In the early sixties the smiths instruments had screw on bezels!
at least he wears the same poor rag on each show does it ever get washed does he himself rat face dirty dirty dirty get the picture yea rat face again oh i cannot swear or tell the truth or i will get banned lololol what a disaster fall on a shaver lately or ever clean up your act dude and go to value village for a new wardrobe please they have nice dresses i hear lololol

That's quiet the old model U got there man. which one is it?
It belongs to a friend...1969 Interceptor 750. :)
@@brucegoldsmith3721 just love interceptor
I bought my MKIII 850 aged 18 in 1977 & I still have it. My previous 750 went like the clappers, but the 850 was a long legged cruiser.
this guy is a knuckle dragger. ask to see his marine engineers certification. is it a diploma, degree, PH. D. what? bet you'll never see it. He never did. In the navy for 20 years as a p...s machinest. give me a break!!!
A bit late to the party but hi from Cambridge UK. I’m buying one of these when I find the right one with the express purpose of clocking up some serious miles around Europe. I decided on a T100 for the ease of maintenance on the roadside. I agree with your assertion that this is possibly the best package to leave the Meriden works. Thanks for the video. 👍
no money, but I want one, so please give one, just want to drive
what a crock of bullshit here. is there a bag licking backstabbing bastard around? oh, there it is!
Sounds good so start riding her
❤
❤
How about the epilogue is you riding it from Margaree up the French Mountain and back?
Who knows... maybe next year!
Any taly of cost would be interesting to see.
Well...a few days ago I did do a quick tally on parts, paint and supplies... it's not much more than an educated guess, but I think that it came to somewhere in the neighbourhood of $4500.00 - $5000.00. I expected it to be quite a bit more, but I saved a lot of money on not having to purchase new rims and spokes and not having to have any machining done on the cylinders or crank.
Your doing a fantastic job.😀
You get a Zero Defects award!
Lol! Thanks, I'm still waiting for something, but so far, so good!
Such wonderful bikes remember as a kid the police using them and also seeing the last mk111 interstates for sale in local dealers window enjoy it fella
Your duct tape trick is genius. Where do you source that type of tape?
Thanks! Most hardware stores carry it.
Love you no nonsense approach, not over thinking and fussing to this resto project. So many of us get discouraged by watching some of the other restorations from others where their goals seem to be show bike oriented.
good stuff
Great job.
Nice job you have done on it, looks sweet!
That's one Norton Commando that sounds great, looks fantastic and I'm guessing is very well maintained.
Cant believe you did it so fast. My rat 1970 is still apart. but im making progress. Loved the show series. Next
Great work. I’ve enjoyed the content of your restoration!
Fantastic looking bike, and great job, how satisfying that must be.
Machined back to standard size what are you talking about the only way back to standard size is new sleeves pressed in, and thanks for giving some clown ideas how to fuck up a motor ...
That's what I meant if course... it's been machined to accept 'off the shelf' sleeves, then the sleeves machined to the standard sized bore.
i got one of these bikes and i do have to say the engine is a peace of junk im going to give it one more try to get it to spark and run if not i dont know what i will do with it probably take it to a motorcycle junk yard i have already wasted a bunch of time cleaning out the carburetors fixing the starter and spent money on the battery
This guy is a backstabber! He is vindictive and supports bullies at all costs. I have a friend who says this guy has no spine and abuses his position in the avms. Just beware of this looser.
Art work at it's finest. brilliant and love the colour
Great Job from Pressure Can's & 1 of the Best British Classics
Beautiful paint work!
Steady hand and good eye
Nice job - looking forward to seeing it altogether
Very nice! Of the different type of Norton seat covers my personal preference is the ribbed used here. They have also come with squares design and basket weave and maybe pleated.
I don't think that's running - the forks aren't shaking three inches back and forth 😁😉 Lovely bike - what a sound! Watching this has set me off looking for one again
right side shift, one up, three down !!!! - complete opposite of every other bike. I had a 69-70 750 Commando S for years.
Bultaco were right hand shift left hand rear brake & left hand kick .
@@peteloomis8456 but who knew Bultaco except off-roaders? ;-)
Didn't see you tickle the carbs....started on 3rd kick from cold without tickle is pretty dang good! Odd sounding compared to my '850 Commando, but that's got to be the different silencers you have on.
I found it a little 'poppy' sounding myself. Removed the three silencer screws that come with the mufflers. Made a huge difference in the exhaust note... much deeper now, and only slightly louder.
Must be very satisfying for you to resurrect various brands of motorcycle history.
Yes, it does bring me a lot of satisfaction...I consider myself very privilaged to have had the opportunity to be entrusted with working on so many of these historic old machines. :)
