Well i watched this with the sound off and thought the same with the fork but after reading his comment that he was just after the crank it made some sense i guess? No matter what though doing it the right way is way easier on yourself and whatever parts you want to save.

The tool in an impact driver . And its for getting the hinge Philips screws lose.

Could be too much fuel pressure from the pump causing the running too rich, can damage destroy the engine lf you take the oil dipstick out and it stinks of gas then you have to sort it out. All it takes is extra paper gaskets under the fuel pump. Each one drops pressure by 0.3 bar. So add a couple, then drive it and see the difference. It could save gas and your engine.😊

So I thought this guy was full of it but as it turns out the early wheels will bolt on. Or at least the repro made by United Pacific and sold on Amazon will, and if you do a couple of things the wiper stalk remains unchanged, blinker cancel works, and horn honks: 1) make a spacer that’s proportioned like a lock washer: large ID and barely larger OD. I put three 5/16 fender washers onto a screwdriver clamped in a vice and ground down the OD to fit, then hogged out the centers with a carbide bit in a drill. Only used one you may need more etc. 2) take the contact ring off your stock 72 wheel and put two 1/4” washers under each of the 3 screws that hold it on, so as to space the whole thing off the back of the wheel something like 1/8” This will achieve the above and doesn’t require a lathe altho that would be best. I don’t think any washers at a hardware store will have the ID and OD close enough. The final issue to solve is aesthetics - there is a ~5/16” gap between the back of the wheel and top of the column. I plan to get some soft black material like a water bottle insulator wrap material and make a sleeve to cover it and keep dust out, which would technically be an upgrade from factory. Lots of dirt accumulated over nearly 50 years. Overall tho, I was wrong to have thought this dude was bluffing for cool guy points and am grateful for this video as I would have written the idea off otherwise. 👏👏

I have the same problem with my passenger door on a 74 bug. How did you get the gap on the lower end to widen enough for it to shut correctly?

How about spending a couple of bucks and getting a decent work bench leaving adequate room to place the block and move the loose parts out of the way...the problem with TH-cam is that everyone thinks they can do a presentation that is worthy of watching...
