    Hey great video! Couple questions. Thinking about moving there from Washington state. Is it possible to use. Trailer to move kayaks (I have 2 feel free dorados very large) ? How far off shore do you have to go for slow pitch jigging? And do you like it there ? Trying to figure out how things are there I’ve only lived in Atsugi and Okinawa. Looking to head back that way. Do you know if it’s kid friendly there?

      @@somewherefishing382 first off sasebo and Kyushu in general is extremely family friendly and one of the primary reasons I retired here for now. To slow pitch jig their are several areas that are less than a mile to deep water I just have to mind tide changes as the current can be pretty intense. I have seen trailers here but primarily seen roof rack systems and people carrying inside their large vans or on kei trucks

    Nice one Frank. Man, I would love to get there at dawn, before the wind comes up, so that I could paddle troll a yak out to that island, and then drift back dragging some baits. Is it ok to troll off a kayak up where you are?

      Not there but on the other side of the island you can. I have only been able to snag one mahi on the kayak so far

    Nice one Frank. I could almost feel your sweat dripping off! My wife doesn't like the smell of fish being cleaned in the house, so I'm banished outside to do it in crazy temperatures. Great to see you making sure the fillets don't come in contact with the skin. For pulling the skin off, one thing that can make your life easier is to cut a little finger-hole in the skin near where you start to peel it off, this will give you a lot more grip and pulling power. Fresh mahi guts are also great for attracting more mahi if you're out on your yak. Keep up the good work!

    Cool video bro!, nice to see it from that perspective, gotta ask though - were you getting weird looks in the festival for "no being a local" ? Also, were there fireworks? :P glad i came across this vid somehow

      Thanks! I’m glad you liked the video! Most festivals especially those in river or coastal areas have huge fireworks… our city has them but at end of September cause of heat. Most festivals in large cities have a lot of foreigners, I do get a look here and there but mostly cause they ask about my large beard 😂

    So you're saying September is the best time for me to visit? What's the process for getting a fishing license for a visiting foreigner?

    • @BakaTsurigaijin
      @BakaTsurigaijin 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Fall is by far best time of year less bugs better fishing and foliage… all saltwater fishing doesn’t require a permit only fresh water lakes that require permits or fee to use
