The North East Rod Builders are a group of custom fishing rod builders who share a passion for the artistic aspect of the craft. What makes the NERBs special are the members who push each other higher & higher and further & further away from “The Box”. Each member puts forth a great deal of pride in their work, and it shows in the final result when that last coat of epoxy is put on the rod.

Custom birch bark + Stabilized wood grips

Haven't done a Looney style grip in a while. Birch bark rings and dyed and stabilized wood combined with a Matagi seat make up the handle. Dec Wrap is a Flashy Star or some Variation of that using Bronze and Red NERBs shade packs available here www.northeastrodbuilders.com/stuff-to-buy/shade-packs/

Do u normally glue the grips and reel seat first b/4 starting the wrap ?
Yes. It’s way easier that way but I’ve done a lot where I did the wrap forest. Depends on the look I want
