this song is so goof
@@MayaMcdonough-tt3yo sure is, I’ve admittedly used it a lot. But it’s just that good
Like all the veterans buried in Arlington the people and dates will be discraced and forgotten if they aren't already. Stop the thank you for your service crap. While the country we served shits on us by allowing the take over of all we fought and some have died for. This country HAS become a joke..
@@davidsigwart7842 I’m confused on what you’re trying to say here. You don’t want me to remember those that fought in the wars that were a result of 9/11?
I have that same little dewalt sander it’s a really good tool for the price. Paired with dust extraction & cubitron it’s probably the best orbital I’ve used
Absolutely, I’ve had it for at least 5 years and it’s held up like a champ.
Does the fire stop the bubbles???
@@maisiewatkinson2671 yes, the heat pops the bubbles. Depending on if you de-gas it or not it can take some time for all the bubbles to work their way to the surface. So I kept an eye on this for about an hour because there was air in the sign that kept releasing bubbles.
@@crafted_in_florida ahhh I see!!! That very helpful to know
Yes a heat gun or a torch will work. Just make sure you keep it moving and don't get it too close to the epoxy.
Great simple build that could even be dressed up a bit with trim if you needed a more formal look.
@@SaludWoodworks absolutely. A different style trim can make this look more upscale. Very customizable! Thanks for watching!
In plywood? Why not cut the plywood and glue it to another sheet of plywood?
@@brookelord3448 you could do that, but you’ll lose an inch and a half of shelf space and you’ll need your face frame to be wider. You can do it either way.
@crafted_in_florida plywood comes in different thicknesses. Use the thickness you need to use to create the thickness you desire.
@@brookelord3448 again you could do it that way. I’d say the advantage of the dado is I’m buying less material and the shelves will have just as good connection in the glue up.
@@crafted_in_florida yeah. If someone wants to make a set of these, it's probably cheaper to buy a router if they don't have one.
@@brookelord3448 a lot of the process comes down to the tools you have. The longer you do this stuff the more tools you accumulate which leads to the ability to try different techniques. There are lots of ways to build a bookcase.
Great tutorial! Thanks! I’m going to replace the baseboard in my bathrooms. Very helpful information.
Thank you! Just trying to provide value. I’ve done bathrooms before, if you can’t slide a piece behind the toilet when doing the bathroom, make the seam land behind the toilet.
East Alexander middle school?
Nice guess, but not correct
No eye protection?
Haven’t found a pair I like. Constantly fogging up and can’t see.
Great work! I’ve been in the family business for over 30 years. The simplest ways you can make something look nice is always the best way! At the end of the day there shelves 😂 great job!!
Right on! Just want to make sure they are built to last!
subjective
@@Invisus_Letum you’re correct, like most things on the internet it’s an opinion. Thank you for watching!
@@crafted_in_florida then why do you state it as fact? is English your second language?
@@Invisus_Letum engagement. Thank you for engaging with this post.
@@crafted_in_florida enlighten a fellow tradesman, educate if you will, how do you cope around outside corners? also how do you cope terminations? I'm not trying to give you a hard time im genuinely curious, I do see the benefits of coping it just costs time I typically am not afforded, in my experience anyway
@@Invisus_Letum coping is only for inside corners. The benefits are that the seam will stay tight over time. Wood expands and contracts and can lead to cracking at joints. By coping you are eliminating some of the wood and thus eliminating movement. For outside corners and returns CA glue is great or just adding addition nails on either side of the outside corner will help prevent movement.
Back cut and use a Dremel with a sanding drum for high precision.
@@mjanssen1255 I’ve seen that before. Never used the dremel for this, but will try it.
Try the coping blade for the jigsaw.... works like magic.
@@jamesmoore4397 I’ll look into that. Thanks for the tip!
I’ve done this when the walls and framing is outta square in an older home. Works great
@@Unionmade6924 great for that, I work in a lot of newer homes and between the framing and the drywall you get very few true 90 degree corners
I had a completely different coping in mind. I was waiting for him to mess up and start coping xD
Haha, there’s enough of that already on the internet.
should have made cuts it direction of grain and sanded in the same direction of grain to
Can you explain further? What do you mean cut in the direction of the grain. Also that’s an orbital sander and this whole piece got sanded 3 times.
Why not in the direction of the grain
I noticed that after making the video and was kicking myself. A little detail that would have made it look much cleaner.
Plugs not really sanded out while the panel around it looks like shit now.
@@mattdumas5224 the whole piece got sanded again with 80, 120, and 220. There is a process to the whole thing that doesn’t fit in a short video. Thank you for watching
@@crafted_in_florida the final effect is the key, isn't it? Feel free to use timelapse technique 🙂👍
@@mattdumas5224 I’ll keep that in mind. Figuring out the short video game is a challenge. Trying to get better
Very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
This Fireplace was one of the coolest builds!
Tha so you can hide your stuff when someone you dont want seeing ur crap is around

Dewalt?
Yes DEWALT trim router, and added a piece of scrap to the top to be able to flush it up
@@crafted_in_florida ahhh sweet. Looks like it's doing a great job. I've been thinking about getting the same router for weeks lol.
@@Age2003 I’m a big fan of it. Ive tried the cheaper ones and they just don’t hold up, DEWALT has held up through all sorts of jobs. And it has a stopping mechanism so when you turn the router off the bit stops instantly, vs others the bit keeps spinning
Nice build
It was fun! 1st time actually doing one of these big kits.
Great video, good simple design!

I really pray I learn something from.your gift ❤
Thank you, trying to provide useful content for people to learn from.
Beautiful job!
Thank you!
Those wire cupboards are in so many homes which we look at. I agree with you, it looks crap!
Yes that wire shelving is pretty much standard in all the new homes I see. It’s one of the most requested projects, either the pantry or the closet where that wire shelving is, customers want it gone.
@@crafted_in_florida Let them keep installing those wire frames and you can keep getting business ;)
@@simonpetermurrell yup, job security.
It's not cheap! But it's awful. This is wonderful.
Thank you, you’re right that wire shelving isn’t cheap, but nobody seems to want it.
Nice work on the brick, I'd like to use the German smear on my fireplace. It's not brick but midsize field stone should look good.
Thank you, I actually did a fireplace for them as well with the German Smear, that’ll be the next video. It should work with any stone.
Looks great!
Thank you! Loving the way the product works!
