Thor's Hammer - Composed with Metropolis Ark 3

Hi, thanks for watching! This composition was made using mostly the Metropolis Ark 3 sample library from Orchestral Tools. The idea was to write an action-themed track in an octatonic scale, with no repeating sections, and using only a single sample library as much as possible. Hi everyone, this is a short piece I composed in honour of J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series. The piece describes a pair of unwary travellers who venture into Shelob's caves, unaware of what awaits them inside... This is awesome. I love your creativity with the Phrygian scale, it actually inspires me. I've always just used it for Spanish-flavored music or to evoke something of that nature experimentally, but this opens a whole new door for me. The fact you inspired me to explore Phrygian beyond the typical "a touch of Spain" flavor means so much to me as a musician.

Love the ostinatos in this, Rich! I am reading Brandon Sanderson's The Way of Kings atm who I believe is a guest author for the final books for Wheels of Time series 🙂
