From what I remember, Cropredy village is the sweetest little picture postcard place with a canal running through it, pubs by the side of the canal and morris dancers to entertain you in the street.
Exactly that Helen. The village increases in size exponentially during the festival and all the inhabitants buy into it. But it is a delightfully sleepy settlement form most of the year with the Oxfordshire Canal running through it, two very good pubs, a store and a canalside crafts yard. I have produced two documentaries about it and the festival - Unconventionally Fairport and Fairport@Forty; they give a much wider and deeper view of the village than the backstage noise of this interview.

Azi Cohen You're very kind, but no, we're not signed and we're not looking to be. You may have seen our ages - 56-64 - so we have no ambitions beyond having a good time and making sure our audience does. That said, we do have a good time and so do our audiences. We play mostly south and central Oxon with occasional forays down to the south of England. What we like is anniversaries and later birthday parties: the younger ones all get off on what we do because that music will last long beyond its initial time, and the older ones feel on safe ground. I'll look at the stuff you recommended later today.

Spiritual Spaces Concert at Douai Abbey 7th February 2014. Immortal Bach, Come, sweet death, by Knut Nystedt. The choir encircled the congregation and held us in the continuous notes so quietly and gently and carried us to the still centre of our being. If you have heard chrystal bowls or 'singing' bowls then it was like being in one. It's almost as if time stands still. A beautifully created spiritual space. Thank you!
Dear Jenny. I'm sure the choir will be grateful for your comments but they may be better directed towards them rather than my TH-cam channel. Just one point, though: I was in an AUDIENCE on Saturday, not a congregation.

You are exposed to radioactive particles on a plane ride, so the comparison is perfectly valid.
Well pick up a text book and do your research. You don't know jack shit about the field clearly.
@@pklongutoobe Ingested and inhaled particles of beta, alpha and gamma emitting radionuclides are certainly comparable to the gamma and x-ray doses that people receive on a flight. And comparatively, they are far worse for your health. But you never hear nuclear industry people talk about that as the dangers are much harder to measure and easier to brush off. They are real dangers though.

Saw Pickwick The Musical starring Sir Harry in Paignton when on tour...must have been around 1994/5ish. He was on top form and If I Ruled The World genuinely stopped the show. I remember it was on the same night in November as a big firework display on the green outside the theatre. It got so loud at one point he ad-libbed 'oh dear it must have been something I've eaten!' A real star.
Recorded live on August 10, 2000. The recording project with Jimmy was for Good Rocking Tonight, A Tribute to Sun Records television program later released on dvd.
