pretty good considering you ONLY used dazstudio,
That's the challenge for the year! Daz Studio and one ancient PC cranking out renders for one month. This is the March result.
great work :)
Stretching the limitations of what one guy using one ten year old I7 can produce in a month! :)
Impressive work! I especially like the design of everything. Highly detailed stuff
I like the slow pacing on these animations you do.
Thank you. This particular video was made to find ways to speed up the animation process and to test 360 viewing. The animation consists of two iray images rendered in Daz Studio with the spherical camera. The completed images were then stacked in Hitfilm Express and the outer image was rotated until the planet was centered. It does make for a fast and dirty way of producing a 360 degree video, but it sacrifices some lighting effects that you would get rendering a series of ~3600 individual images to stack and animate.
Lots of potential here. Definitly a thumbs up on the animation.
That was all animated in Daz Studio?
Yes it was. All of the animation frames were produced with only Daz Studio. It consists of 8 separate image series renders for a total of 1114 frames produced over 5 days on my somewhat anemic 6 year old I7 desktop. The video was created and edited with Hitfilm Express. The music is a free TH-cam track that didn't require attribution.
@@coxcomics3855 All free and epic music too.
I wouldn't go quite that far as to say free. The renders consist of 9 models, some of which I did purchase. I think only 3 of them were acquired for free. The other 6 probably represent around $30 USD. I can't really say for certain regarding the exact price as I've owned some of them for a long time. The Space 1999 video I created is a better example of what can be done for "free" (as far as free fan based models go - th-cam.com/video/pYxsW1HwFHs/w-d-xo.html).
I can total see this being an Anime. The ships and crew work for some Space Corporation.
was expecting a fright at the end😹
A jump scare was considered at the end for a halloween drop surprise. Unfortunately yours truly came down with COVID and halloween was nothing but a 102.6 degree fever dream. I just became mobile, so I packasged it up. Working on the next video...
@@coxcomics3855 get well ❤
I personally would prefer a body in the seat so you are not viewing as a disembodied ghost, maybe blurred from the headless neck
Thanks for the note. That is actually going to be the focus of the next two videos. I've hidden everything from the neck up on a Genesis 3 female and parented a spherical camera to the figures head. Coming soon...
Good to see you back at work...and because I am....1st!
Yes you are! This is one of a bottleneck of projects (I blame Minecraft). Expect Issue 40 of The Crucible to be put up soon and I think I'll have a 360 video up on my personal channel (th-cam.com/users/VonPhillipsvideos) from Halloween Horror Nights 29 of me three weeks after the acdf surgery driving around Universal Studios Orlando on a ECV (if it ever finishes processing).
Open the pod bay doors, HAL.
that was exciting
I don't recall when it was made, but City of Heroes was still online, so 2012 or before. I think all the original files were lost in a nasty RAID failure.
Cool content, looking forward to more uploads. You could use SMZeus . c o m to help grow your channel.
How did you do the voices?
Voices were done with a text to speech voice synthesizer. It came from Sourceforge.net, but i don't recall the app name. The results were not very good and I ended up editing it to make it sound more normal by using other effects to cover the disjointed Wargames-like "Would you like to play a game" toneless drone. The search for a decent, affordable multi-voice synthesizer is on going.
Came from the DAZ forum. Good job!
