Welcome to the first video of the channel! To start off, we'll do a quick open of the Masterlock 140.
ive picked 2 of these, took quite some time, but got it. I got another one thats 10yrs old from an old electrical foreman who has since retired.... Cannot seem to get it. watching your video, maybe im using too short of a pick.
Great tips my friend thanks for sharing!!
Thank you :]
A great video. Well presented with some great tips foe the newr pickers. Especially nit turning the cire ro far so folk acoid joining the ratyle club. 😊just found you while catching on viewing. Have a great weekend mate 🤜🤛👍
Thank you Keyed Alike, this one is a pain. Have a great day.
I hope you keep posting videos, I tend to watch every pick of a particular lock and your video was easy to get critical information from like choice of tools from, very clean audio too. Hey, so does this lock have the same key as a 700 or 1100 or not? Somehow I ended up with AM3 space and depth keys and a box of 50 AM5 blanks. Is all APT12 stuff the same?
Well done! You made it look easy those 5200’s aren’t easy. I hit the subscribe button. Keep up the good work!
Nice. Thank you!
AAA batteries make nice followers as well. Nice pick and gut! Well done!
I like your trick for determining tension! I've never seen that approach before. I'm gonna play with that and mebbe steal it as content for my channel, LOL!
I came here to say this... i am a green belt picker and this tip alone was gold!!
Just found your channel and gave you sub. Good luck with the new channel!
Nice tutorial
Thanks! And welcome to the channel.
Hey Keyed Alike, nice to meet you. Sadistic sent me your way. Damn fine quick open sir. 😎
Thanks! glad to have you here.
@@KeyedAlike Subbed 😎
Hey AA battery and 3A batteries work great as followers. Local hardware also have wooden and plastic dowels that work great too. Let me know if ya need dimensions and ill get the caliper out!
Yes! I've used batteries as well. But I also just got a 3D printer and have since printed a set of followers!
@@KeyedAlike oh how awesome man! Bet your diggin that! Did ya go big on your printer or just dabblin?
@@SadisticPicker Yea it’s been great. Getting good with Fusion 360 and have made a few models of my own. Mostly just for stuff around the house but I also made a completely printed recreation of the Sparrows Cutaway, 3D printed pins and core etc. as well as a key. only thing not printed are the springs.
Hey a new channel!! Feck yeah! Very well made man! And nice pick!👏👏🤘😎.
Very nice Quick clean pick on that! Great explanation of what your doing/feeling. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your continued support @thecompguy !
Nice
Nice video and pick, ty! I have trouble navigating paracentric keyways, trying to feel the pin while turning and lifting my pick...
It definitely took me a while to get the feel of the pins in this keyway, but practice makes perfect
@KeyedAlike It sure does! I need alot more of it! I'll get there! Thanks for sharing! I look forward to the next! Once I progress some more I'll get some more difficult stuff for my channel...
Sweet. 🔐
I havent the pleasure of a lotto lock yet but looking forward to trying one out! Nice job.
Thanks! They’re definitely a fun challenge.
@@KeyedAlikeI can imagine! I see many people picking them, some can be quite a struggle by the looks!
Nice picking! Welcome to YT locksport!
nicely done -- these locks are lifesavers! I still have one in my tool bag; you never know when you will need one.
Definitely a surprisingly tricky one from Masterlock
Nice vid & title. It makes me wonder... How frequently are lock series keyed alike? Cars, mailboxes, masterlock etc
Well, it’s not exactly a question of how often they are keyed alike, more so if you need it to be. Many sets of locks can come keyed alike as an option from the manufacturer, so for those locks that have the option they are just as easy to get as those keyed differently.
very nice first video.😊
