Great game! I played Dead Light twice - investigator first, then keeper - with different people, and the story's different reveal is a delight. Thanks for your play-through. I won't spoil anything in comments, but to say that player choices and dice rolls affecting narrative was fun and interesting. I'd be happy if you had another play-through. You're all engaging and I hope you do it again.

Hey you guys ever thought our adding a video I think it would add more eyes to the videos since some people like a visual aspect to these type of things, just a thought. Enjoy the pod tho. Also I know you made a how to keepers video. But I think it would be useful to make a more in depth one focusing on the process of how you read a scenario and take that into telling the story. That’s something I struggled with when trying to be a first time keeper and seeing someone else process I think would be helpful. Kind of like take big plot points from like edge of darkness read it from the book then talk about how you took that info and created your story. ( I use edge of darkness just because it’s likely a lot of people’s first run through.

It's goo to hear one suggesting not to rush the players (although if they are stalling you ought to start figuring how you'll scoot them along). Fool that I am, I'm writing the first one-shot I'll be keeping myself and my biggest worry is they will burn through everything I've prepared far faster than expected.

Very nice video. I would add two things. First, make sure you understand the IDEA roll. When the players get stuck, an Idea roll will give them a hint. If they make the roll, they get the hint no problem. If they fail the roll, they STILL get the hint, but at a cost. This assures that the game will progress. Second, don't sell the chase rules short. They are very easy to use in play, and sooner or later you are going to have the players wanting to get away from something, or chase down an escaping witness. The GM can make a map on a piece of paper in 5 seconds and run a very satisfying chase scene. Warm regards, Rick.

Hi there! Cool voices, effects and music a bit too loud sometimes, but great roleplaying!

Ran my first game on Halloween and it went extremely well! I definitely made use of Tip 3. I had to ad lib an entire scene with a location and NPC because the players made a choice that wasn't covered in the module.
