What are their usual places they go and the time they run? I’ve seen them only once but they at an industry but they were sitting at idle.
@@itsmeaiden3757 YRC RJ-2 is the early morning train around like 7:50 and that goes to Hanover around 8:20. YS-1 is like 8:50 am and that goes to Thomasville but sometimes it will go down to the city and get some rolling stock. MPA-1 is mostly seen around Queen street by the baseball stadium and goes from west York to York around 8:00 am and comes back after work is finished. The night train LG-1 is around 3:30 to like 8-9 pm. LG-1 mostly uses YS-1 locomotives but it depends on which set is available of the RJ-2 or YS-1! A month ago MPA-1 stopped doing their NS load which has YS-1 doing it now and getting the LG-1 load from poorhouse yard at Queen street!

I'm off all week! Have fun!✌️
I was wondering where you were. Have fun too!
Is YRC 1532 back and ready? My birthday is soon and I might do a train chase with YS-1 or RJ-2
@@xavienchatman not ready yet, but very soon. I'll let you know for sure!
@@eberlegarage I just rode by the old Ma&pa shops and I saw a lonely locomotive and I thought it was either 1531 or 1532. Do you know which locomotive that is? Thank you!
@@xavienchatman I believe it's the 35🙂
Nice catch!
@@babtotheboneproductions Thank you! I waited almost 2 hours in the rain to catch this!
🚂🎺 Wow! That's AWESOME! Time flies when you're having fun! Thanks again for the kind words!🙂
@@eberlegarage your welcome!
He made it sound like 1538 was IMRR 1550
Now that's the way I like to see freight cars looking - the first boxcar at the crossing. Appears all the graffiti was recently painted over by the slight difference in paint shade on the bottom half.
I just noticed that!
Love the Genesse & Wyoming colors!
@@roydrink Me too!
Why did they leave that engine there?
@@unitedweather4246 YRC 1549 came to pick it up an hour later but they should’ve just took it with them or put it in a more secure spot.
Whats up with the third engine?
@@unitedweather4246 I have no idea. When they left the yard they left it sitting there with the engine running.
@@xavienchatman 1539 should be heading up soon
@unitedweather4246 Awesome news!
Is IMRR 1550 up there?
@unitedweather4246 No, I think it went to another railroad but YRC 1531’s horn and IMRR 1550’s horn both sound just alike

West Market St. east bound at the York fair. On the york penndale line. That is my stumping ground. I grew up on Maryland Ave down from Egder fahs Smith school. I have photos of the M&P track gang rehabbing the market st grade crossing. In the 90s.
Awesome information!
That inspection has to done monthly, 4 quarterly and one annual. CFR 234. Rules get a chance at look up that on the line. You can read what tests he is doing. SRBX
Queen st. Thats cool they are still using the old warehouse. SRBX the M&P used them years ago.
1538's sister will be joining it soon. 1539 will be sent to York Rail soon. It has a K5LAR24 horn
Wow! That’ll be cool! Thanks for the info
Nice! Is it on its way now?
It might work alone because 1532 might be broken down

Your welcome
Super nice Video! I like it!
Thanks!
There's a lot of evidence still existing showing how much major industry York once had.
Yeah! On the NCR where the college is building over a old paper mill had some left over tracks but they were recently ripped out and there’s some leftover evidence of the double track by the siding at the college.
Nice video excellent my friends

First time I've seen one of those white LINX boxcars. Do you happen to know what customer or customers were receiving these cars? Nice catch! Guess the crew member felt you deserved a present for standing out in the rain just to catch their train going by. Very nice of him...
I don’t know the name of it. Thank you and that conductor is a very awesome Railroad Worker
Where is this at?
Queen Street by the York Revolution stadium in York Pennsylvania
I see the old PRR York Tower is still there. The original Ma & Pa RR track is in the background, running off to the right and in front of the tower.
Yup! The Ma & Pa track has 1 industry YRC works at the old shops. When I was recording this 3 people went inside of the tower as you can see at the end of the video.
@@xavienchatman Back in Spring 1977 I made a trip from Baltimore up to the Ma & Pa in York. I had my "The Ma & Pa" history book by George Hilton with me. While I was walking around their tracks, a switching crew conductor walked over to me. I thought he was going to fuss at me for being on their property. Just the opposite, he handed me a copy of their orders from earlier in the day and said, "Here would you like this?" He recognized that I was a railfan and saw the book I was holding. He invited me up into the engine and the crew took a short run down the line to pick up an empty gondola at a steel fabrication facility. That conductor was working for the RR when it still ran to Baltimore. He looked at the photo of an engine derailment at Oakleigh in 1953 and told me he was there that day. He gave details like it was just yesterday...really made the book come alive for me as he looked through it. It made my day!
@@xavienchatman (continued) I also had a Baltimore Sun newspaper article about the railroad tucked in the book. The article had a photo of the engineer of a freight train heading for Red Lion and Whiteford, MD a few years earlier. He recognized the engineer who had at one time ran the passenger trains between York and Baltimore. Sadly, he told me that engineer had just recently passed away. The crew enjoyed seeing the article. In hindsight, I wish I had offered the conductor the article to keep. The people who worked for that railroad were very railfan friendly. Oh, just for reference, that industry where the crew picked up the empty gondola appears to be the last industry with a siding before the end of the track, looking at Google Satellite Imaging. Maybe that's the one you mentioned YR still serving?
@shortliner68 Wow, that had to have been a awesome adventure!
@@xavienchatman It was! Wish I could have gotten up that way again while they were still operating down to Whiteford, MD. I also had a Baltimore newspaper article about the M&P tucked in the book. It had a photo of an engineer running a train down to Whiteford a few years earlier. The conductor recognized the engineer who had at one time ran the passenger trains between York and Baltimore. Sadly, that engineer had just recently passed away. In hindsight, I wish I had offered him the article in case he kept memorabilia of his time working there. For reference, the industry where the crew picked up the empty gondola is presently the last industry having a rail siding before the end of the original M&P line, based on Google Maps. Maybe that's the industry you mentioned YR still serving on the original line?

Nice catch. I love it when train drivers greet us railfans and honk their horns for us. We sure show them how good they are at their jobs and they can then see how we find trains fascinating. Also is this a private or public railway? I do notice older trains sometimes on private short railways like our Waterloo Central Railway in St Jacob’s Ontario
Genesee and Wyoming has owned it since 2002 but it was a private railroad! Thanks!
