Thanks! Had a '71 at 20 years old in Florida. Great car, great times.
Glad you enjoyed it. It is a really nice car, indeed!
Always wanted one. They’re like a miniature car from the 1930s. So Spartan and reliable.
Mine had no issues after I have gone over it, and changing everything that was not ok.
Great video. I had a 1983 Mexico bug. Outdated by decades when I bought it in 2001 but I loved it. The 34hp engine is fine until around 60kph. Accelaration in the city is fine. Heating - well it melted my CD covers. You just could not switch them off in summer . I miss it.
I could not open the heater inside the cabin, as it was sending exhaust fumes inside. Missed the heating in the winter time.
I miss my old '73 Beetle so much that i could cry. Thank you for sharing yours with us; it's a beauty 💖
@@spahncamper I just had to sell it, so I just found out the feeling. Sad moment.
@@classiccarpov2311 I'm sorry to hear it; unfortunately life can be like that sometimes, but maybe another Beetle will find its way to you someday. Me, I'm still holding on to my vintage Hurst shifter, just in case...
I have another one. that needs full restauration. But it will be years until I finish it.

With the metal dash and this bumper style, not sure this is a 73 model. Wish I had one. Miss my 72 square back (replaced by a company after college).
It's a special model, called Sparkafer. They used parts form earlier models to make it. Check the name Sparkafer out and you will fin this exact model in 1973. Last year for the rounded bumbers and oval taillights.
Nice muslim country,Pakistan??
It was filmed in Luxembourg, Europe
The first car I ever drove in my life was my father's car, made in 1968
Legal.
Um Fusca azul... 😁🫱*Paft*😵💫💫

True!
I love this car so im your 900th sub!
Happy to see that you love the car! 900 subs! Wow, that is nice. Need to buy a new GoPro so I can bring you more videos!
@@classiccarpov2311 Yay sure
Mehr Auto braucht man eigentlich nicht! Aber nur, wenn er, wie hier, die Ausstellfenster hat. 😍
that is true!
Nice video! I am considering buying one as my first car. And seeing videos like this only makes me more excited!
what a great car to own first! I hope you buy it and enjoy the hell out of it
I have a 1981 brizilian made Wolkswagen Beetle, is my dream car, me and my wife love it. Drive on a sunset is like a good dream.
Sunset drives are the nicest ones. Without pushing the car, just relaxed shifting, and enjoying the sounds of the engine.
How to make a man happy:
True that!
What more do you need?
Nothing, really!
Is this in Latvia or Lithuania?
It’s Luxembourg
Wow, interesting road.
Great road near my place, in Luxembourg. Just drive 2 minutes and you are on country roads.
Im amazed to see how the same year car looks different in other countries. The 1973 Beetle here in the U.S. looks different from yours. Inside it is similar but outside it is not. Loved the drive, would love to have both a Beetle and a Bus.
that is true. In US, the bumpers were bigger and the taillights also. Every one has it's charm!
Would i fit in this? Im 6' 6"
For sure you would fit, without issues
Nice
thanks!
Great car,I owned 4 of them.brings back a lot of memories, all happy,my last a 73 super was my favorite.drove from Tacoma to Rochester,ny in 3 days all by myself, car ran perfect, got about 30 miles to gal I think they don’t make like that anymore.last was May of 77.would I drive it again,no way,too far in my little car
you have the bug, for sure! I drove it for 2 days straight, across the country! What a joy ride! Loved every bit of it!
" opa 👍 ! Oi ' aqui é do Brasil 🇧🇷👍, esses carros são febre aqui !!! " Que país é esse ai ⁉️⁉️⁉️ - ótimo vídeo 📷🎥 parabéns 👏 '
Hi! The video was filmed in Luxembourg, Europe. You guys in Brazil sure love the beetle, or vocho (if I remember correctly, that is how you call it!)
@@classiccarpov2311 ' opa ! @@gerbsonoliveira5905 correct, Fusca! Thank you for clearing that! Best of whishes!
@@classiccarpov2311 " 😁👍 " !!! Pois é ! Chamamos de " Fusca " !!!
I'm from generation z but I dream of one day having a Beetle because when I was little, my family and I traveled in a square-shaped car that was the first to have an electronic distributor.
Car passion knows no generation and that's the way it should be forever! You can get them pretty cheap these days, so I think you will get one soon.
You know what's funny as a gen z my dream has come true ❤ I thought I'd never get one and now I just randomly was helping a lady out and she's giving me her 1973 vw super beetle 😊
@@ryanayers3138 I'm glad you made it. One day I'll get there too.
I slept midway thru this video haha
That means it's relaxing. 🤣🤣🤣
Its just such a beautiful car,ive liked them since i was little, they are what turned me into a car guy, today i am 14 years old ,got a job and saving up for one of these, cant wait until im 18
Very nice! I hope you will buy it soon! I am sure you will love the car!
Ich hatte ihn in "Beamtenmausgrau" Baujahr 1969, mit Kunstledersitzen. Mehr Auto braucht man eigentlich nicht!
Indeed, such a nice car to have. Very easy to operate and work on
Love these things I need one in my life. My Dad had a 67-68 like this that 5 of us ride to Arizona from Illinois in! I was a toddler maybe three but thinking two, I sat on my Mom’s lap the whole way. I remember how miserable that was it was hot and uncomfortable and Mom could’ve killed Dad for taking it instead of the new Impala we had. Lol. I guess I cried every time we went near the car for weeks after. 😂. Ours was even the same color.
Indeed, with no creature comforts, it's not a car to appreciate on long travels, unless you are really fanatic. Even I take it for a quick spin, never driving more than 1h. I am also a big dude, so I am squeezed in.
That VW sure does not look like the VWs they were selling in North America in 1973. Looks like it is from about 1965. Lights and interior and windshield are quite different. In north american they started calling them Super Beatles and they were quite a bit larger then your 1973 VW.
This is called a Sparkafer (basically a poor man's Beetle), because they used to build it with whatever parts they still had in stock from older models.
My uncle had one all orange when he went to Nam black leather seats
Nice! I have also an Orange one. It's called Clementine Orange if I'm not mistaking
Definitely not a 73
It is a 1973 VW Beetle. Search on the internet for 1973 Sparkafer and you will find this model that I have
Great style, great engine 💯
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
I always find if disconcerting see cars parked along the side of the road facing both ways.
Not the same in your city? You have mostly one way roads there?
Mashallah! Which motor u have 1300 or 1600?
Hello! It's 1200 34hp
@@classiccarpov2311 thanks 🌹
Do beetles look different where you live? That looks like an early 60s model.
It looks like one, because it is a Sparkafer. It is a 1973, but from factory it came with rounded bumpers and oval stoplights
Saludos.
@@celsoguajardovillarreal gracias
That is nice! It's good if you return to the old love
Not a 73.
It is indeed a 1973 Beetle. Search for 1973 Sparkafer and you will find the exact model that I have. But they are very rare to find and see one on the streets

This is an amazing video! In a week, I am going to pick up my '74 VW Beetle! I've been wanting one since I was a kid. Already named her "Stella" for her bright Yellow finish and chrome accents. Cant wait! 😁
That is so nice! Hope you enjoy Stella for a long time.
Love that name!! My Dad's Beetle is called Billie, named after Billie Jean (she isn't a Jeans Bug though).
Beautiful sound & a beautiful drive. I love the hissy cheep cheep purr of the engine a classic for the beetle. Sounds Brand new. I only drove 2-3 beetles in my life & 1 VW van late 60's I think. The van was nice but the 2 beetles scared the heck out of me with the high revving engine the no insulation & touchy breaks & it felt like it was going faster than it actually was LOL Anyway, I loved the video & its likely I will go for a ride again in YOUR VW soon :D
Thank you very much! Hope to see you again on this channel
How many times has one of those been the ride to go pick up a bag of weed? Lol
I do not know. My vice is food 😂😂😂
@classiccarpov2311 my buddy owned 3 or 4 old vws in highschool. An we didn't need any excuse at all to drive them. Im a cj7 guy but old bugs are just as fun or funner to drive..
@@robchesley4591 CJ7, that is really nice! I do not see them around here at all.
I have had the same car, with same colour, same 1973er as i was 25 years old...i wish i hadn´t sold it...othe Steering Wheel with Chrome......I put in an 1600ccm Engine to a 1200ccm Gearbox....If i left the gas station it makes a short drift in second gear... :)
What stereo model is that sir?
I have no idea! It came with the car
I also have same beetle❤️🔥
omg this reminds me of of my first car, a 1970 semi auto bug that was baby blue. My father and I put it back together and although it lacked a lot of modern features I loved driving this bug. It taught me about car maintenance but it also humbled me. I remember going to local shops to "fix" and "upgrade" my bug. Looking at this video now, after later owning a Lexus RX, I really wish I could go back and drive this simple yet silly little car
Is hard to drive a car without assists systems and power steering? Just curious... Not like its legal to drive with this car where I live anyways...
For me it is really easy! I am a big guy, fat, with some force. The only moment when I feel a little bit the need for power steering is when I park it and I need to rotate the wheel on the spot, without the car moving. Otherwhise, when the car is moving, I can actually steer with 2 fingers. Brakes are fine all the time.
What country is this?
Luxembourg
