Hi isha, i am also a fellow resident, dont take your seniors too seriously, if u take them seriously their words will hurt you, otherwise you can ignore them, also they will try to scare you that they wont teach you and make your life miserable but dont take them too seriously , they will have to teach you eventually if they want to shift their work to you. Just ignore and keep doing work, dont focus on the fact that you have cleared neet pg and done this and that so you deserve something, that mindset doesnt help, what helps is having an open mindset and just accepting what happens and seeing the positive side of things. Also when they say you cant leave, just leave when you want and let them scold you , in this way at least they'll now start scolding you for something you are doing instead of petty things, also give them trouble back if they trouble you, they will stop troubling you eventually

Let's be honest there is no hope for this country or its people

Holy Shit and here i was fighting with my father to let me put bhu peds in counselling.... but this toxic culture has to end what's the point of getting good rank still not being able to join a good clg due to these shitty practices.. btw anyidea bout how's peds there is it the same ?

Well truth be told, even I’ve faced this behaviour from the hod of my department that too being jr3 and taking permission from my unit incharge and faculty, I had to urgently go because my nani ji expired from heart attack and my mother was crying inconsolably. When I returned to Department after 3 days , he made me pay 2500 as ‘FINE’ in an illegal department fund then torchered me saying that my nani had to die near Diwali time. I cried so badly inside but put my head down and repeatedly apologised that it’ll not happen again. Hod still is shrewd and may keep grudges. So I don’t say anything but I’ll have a lot to say after my residency.

True... In my college jr1 obg mam came with broken leg with plaster above knee ... Mam u should change the branch or choose dnb this branch really require sweat and blood from u it's nott easy ...

I m working in bhu in obgy deptt. There z no such toxicity. .. consultants are v supportive. And we all have burnt midnight oil to achieve the seat only to learn the art of medicine ...so if we are performing duties and working hard in wards then it z solely for our benefits so that in future we will become good drs ...all fields wether corporate sector pvt sector govt jobs everythg demands hard work ....today's kid dnt understand this thing

I don't think you have had a tough time during internship but we have worked for an average of 12 hours per week in the obgyn department leaving aside rotation!! If an intern works for 12 hours, a PGT works for 24 hours with no leave for whole 2 years at least! Surprisingly people are okay with it..

You did absolutely right. I am currently a JR 2, and i always make sure that my juniors get adequate time to rest, and have their meal on time. Lets spread kindness as much as we can.❤
