Reformed Baptist Church in Irvine, California
We are a Bible-believing church committed to glorifying God and enjoying Him forever. Through the renewing work of the Holy Spirit and the truth of God's Word, we strive to live by faith in Christ, turn from sin, obey His commands, and proclaim the gospel of sovereign grace with urgency and joy-at home, in our communities, and to the ends of the earth. We fully affirm the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith (1677/1689) as a faithful summary of biblical teaching.

Mark 13:14-23 "The Desolation"
Watch the news for any length of time and you’ll get the sense that we live in a world of chaos and deception. From global crises to everyday distractions, we are challenged to discern truth and find peace. So, we must strive to hear Jesus’ words in Mark 13:14-23 as a reminder that He knows all the trials and fears we face and has provided guidance and hope for His people.
As He says in this passage:
"For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect. But be on guard; I have told you all things beforehand." (Mark 13:22-23)
In this sermon, we will consider Jesus’ warning about a specific event, which already happened, but is still a message for us in the not yet.
This sermon is from our series, The Servant Son of God, preached by Pastor Todd Odenath on 12/8/2024.

Mark 13:3-13 "The Signs"
มุมมอง 1121 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
In Mark 13:3-13, Jesus speaks to His disciples about troubling events to come. This is in light of Jesus' prophecy of the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem. The passage starts with this: “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are about to be accomplished?” And Jesus began to say to them, “See that no one leads you astray….” (Mark 13:4-5, ESV) U...
Psalm 100 "His Steadfast Love Endures Forever" (Audio Only)

Guest preacher, Matt Wiersma, opens up Psalm 100. The inspired title shows us the theme, “A Psalm for Giving Thanks.” As we approach the upcoming holiday season, we think of the many things we are thankful for. Yet this Psalm focuses us on the foundation of our thankfulness as believers: [3] Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of...
Mark 13:1-2 "The Destruction"
มุมมอง 2321 วันที่ผ่านมา
Perhaps the most shocking thing Jesus said to His disciples is found in Mark 13:1-2, where Jesus says, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.” The colossal structure of that temple represented not only their religious identity but also a sense of stability in divine favor. Yet Jesus pointing to its destruction seems li...
Mark 12:38-44 "The Contrast"
มุมมอง 21หลายเดือนก่อน
Whether we enjoy the spotlight or prefer to stay out of view, we all know what it’s like to be seen. Some find it energizing, while others shy away, feeling the pressure of eyes on them. Yet there’s a reality none of us can avoid: we are all seen by God. He sees us completely, even the things no one else does. In this sermon, we will see a contrast in being seen-and how devotion to God is displ...
Mark 12:35-37 "The Quote"
มุมมอง 10หลายเดือนก่อน
In uncertain times, it's easy to look to political leaders for a sense of security and assurance, hoping they’ll bring stability, prosperity, and protection. Yet, even if our leader wins, we often find ourselves disappointed. As we anticipate the upcoming election, it's timely to remember that lasting assurance cannot come from any leader, but One. In Mark 12:35-37, Jesus questions the limited ...
Mark 12:28-34 "The Commandment"
มุมมอง 49หลายเดือนก่อน
Have you ever struggled to understand something complex, wishing someone could just summarize it for you? Whether it's a dense book, a complicated task, or a life decision, having someone simplify the big picture can bring much-needed clarity. In Mark 12:28-34, after a question of which is the most important commandment, Jesus’ cuts through the complexities of the law. He says, “You shall love ...
Mark 12:18-27 "The Living"
มุมมอง 47หลายเดือนก่อน
When it comes to the afterlife, people hold a variety of beliefs. Some think of heaven as a place where we reunite with loved ones; others imagine reincarnation or a vague spiritual existence. Some believe death is simply the end-nothingness-while many admit, "I don’t know what happens next." Even among Christians, questions about the resurrection or the certainty of eternal life can lead to do...
