The LAST ever Monsterfest. Rocking Inverness in 2024 VLOG

Don't miss them if you get the chance! They're pretty busy so hopefully they'll be near you soon.
@PeteDevlinootnaboot fingers crossed
Can relate to this Pete, I was based near London in the early 80s also in the RAF, saw Marillion several times during the Fugazi/Misplaced tours and once met Ian Mosely and Fish at a sound check at the Hammersmith Odeon prior to a concert in 85. Great band with Fish yes, not so now. Good to see the played Three Boats. Thanks for posting this.
@@thewinkler6647 aye great days that I remember fondly. We used to go to Aylesbury quite regularly during route lining pish trying to bump into them. Never did! Strangely when I got to Lossie I worked with a boy whose brother lived with Derek and was supposedly responsible for calling him Fish. I'll be seeing one of his last shows. Not followed him much since he left marillion but those few years were a massive influence on my musical tastes. Cheers for watching and the comment.
@PeteDevlinootnaboot I was also at Lossie, during mid nineties, didn't get to see so many bands at that time. I did fly down to catch Floyd at Earls Court on one occasion. As you say fond memories.

@janievuu yeah love rocks share a heap of artists with wildfire. They've obviously got some kind of partnering going on. I was impressed that there were folk at Wildfire that had done both. Hardcore! They're a long way apart. Will we be seeing you at Stonedead?

Is he crossed with a standard poodle, I have one crossed with a miniature, she’s about the size of a make cocker spaniel
@@wxssxn7706 hi, yes his mother is a standard poodle but a big one at that. There's a pic of his parents on my latest vid.
What is he? How big will he get? Etc.
@@boldboy73 he's a massive snarling beast to those that live in the wrong parts of town.
Maybe the breed ie poodle don't mature till 4 or 5.i have a labxcollie whose 2 she has quietened down a bit but everything you mentioned ie jumping and distraction is her.the fear might be more socialisation in built up areas.just a thought good luck he looks lovely.❤
I think tbat it might have been the squat shape of the pot that spooked him. I've had that experience with other dogs, nor just poodle xs. My standard poodle X jumps when I sneeze- he must think tbat it's a weird bark!
He seems a very nice dog willing to please. I agree that more boundries will ease his anxiety.
If he is getting scared and jumpy, he needs you to be more communicative and put down and stick to more boundaries and be more present. Dogs behave that way when they feel they need to control the situation and they can't. If you show (emphasis on show) that you are in control 24/7 and that you choose everything he does, he will at least not react out of fear, because you have decided it's not dangerous. The exception to that is if he has trauma with it. I would start dog training courses with him. It can also help to give him a work-life vest for occasions when he has to do work-life things because that will also prepare him. Stay on top of him and be more stubborn than he is 😊 Good luck 😊💕
Have patience and train him.all dogs need to be trained. He will get better as he gets older .
A beautiful daft dog, the best kind in my opinion. I bet it's fun bathing him. Give him a kiss from me 😘
@@cobwebsandcatnip he gets loads of them! Never actually bathed him. He swims a lot and gets clipped every few months.

Why youre not zooming in ? Its could be soo great to take a better look of the ISS using the spectacular zoom of the S22 !
Im talking about taking a picture of it because a video while locking in the ISS is very hard
@@B.U.E the wide lens is the only one with a low enough f-stop and effective sensor big enough to get any result. Plus it was hand held. All that you would get would be a very shaky blurred blob of light. There's no way any details of the ISS could be picked out despite what my obvious clickbait thumbnail alludes to.
First of all, where’s your accent from it’s awesome sounding second of all I appreciate it. My parents bought me a GoPro years ago as a kid and it didn’t work out of the box so I kind of bought myself a GoPro two days ago and I heard that we’re supposed to be seen the northern lights again in the US and I would like to try to get videos of it.
@@DonaldDucady-ts9px hi thank you! My accent is a generic mash of Fife, Elgin and Ayrshire in Scotland mixed with years of military English. It changes depending on who I'm talking to and annoys the sh*t out of me 😂. I suppose to someone across the pond you could call it generic mild Scottish. I hope you manage to capture the mirrie dancers as they're known up here. This high activity period won't last for long and it will soon go to very rare and often unpredictable sightings again. Best of luck.
Downright irish!
I had a Neo for a couple of weeks but sent it back since it couldn't follow on MTB trails at all, total fail. This Hover doesn't seem much better (for 3x the price).
Stick around and we'll find out! My blasting DH days are over (if they ever existed) but I got this to record bike packing stuff. A lot of that gets overgrown. I'll test it on local trails. So far the neo footage I've seen from non shills has been pretty bad. Cheap though.
@@PeteDevlinootnaboot ya what pushed me to return it were the frankly shocking full-res stills that were so pixellated they looked like watercolor paintings, I mean really bad (in perfect lighting etc, with the RC in improved manual modes on top of it). My 3 year old Mini2 is miles better. But yes, Neo is nice and cheap, and decent quality build/design.
Nice.
Cheers ma loon. I'll be testing it on the bike soon. Weekend job like as the night's are fair drawin in and aw that.

Nice one! I'll give that a try sometime and see how it goes. I've been using my GoPros for nightlapse videos as they're pretty easy to set up. Liked and subscribed.
@@JauneMacReady thank you! Yeah gopro does really well considering the small sensor and yes it's easy to set up. Have seen a pocket 3 vid where they use manual and iso 1600 with the 1s exposure time. Looked OK and you get longer timelapses as a result if that's what you want. I'll give it a try for the next clear sky event. I'm sure I tried those settings before and it didn't work well for our Scottish skies.
Doing it this year? Great video. Cycled half route today on my bike, good to see the full route before I do it in three weeks time :-)
@@carsnstuff5712 sorry no I'm not. I've got 2 drones now and really want to get footage of a lot of the course from them. Alas I'm at a rock festival in Inverness. Good luck with the race and I hope you get kind weather.
I'm revising a lot of these videos before the November headliner announcement for next year. Great honest take. Whoever runs Downloads toilets needs to sort their shit out, pardon the pun. As for pricing it's poor I agree. Especially for the standard parking in terms of myself. £45 quid for a field is ridiculous. They need to curtail this evening with the payment scheme now it's still heavy on the purse. I understand insurance and security companies now are asking for extortionate money. And obviously the punters will have to carry some of that but you'd think Live Nation would have enough tie-ins with advertising and sponsorship that this would cover some or all of those costs. And even if we have to pay those premiums at least have the services the best of the best. European festivals that cost less have by far better facilities for campers and arena attendees alike. As you've said. Do Better Download.
Campervan field were the worst toilets on the whole site I think and thinking back it's all part of the move to pressure people into buying the even more profitable campervan plus tickets. There was no expense spent on the security for the campervan field, the guys on the arena entrance were ok but the patrols etc were hopeless. Breaks my heart as I love the festival and the people that go but when it gets to the point where what they are doing gives me the rage and makes me feel sick I've got to distance myself from it. I'm beyond camping in mordor so if I ever go back it'll be from a hotel but to be honest I'm really excited about other fests now. I'm over it.
Nice one Peter, really was a good one even for us down south, I imagine it would have been spectacular up your way.
@@richardtreherne4306 I may actually have been fortunate as it was a bit cloudy this way. Certainly not the clear frosty night I got at kendal. Pics I've seen do look good though. Thanks for watching and commenting.
