Finally got the wheeler put back together after 2 months of clutch problems (one month of a hack that couldn't do the job, and a couple weeks for the new guy to tell me it wasn't worth rebuilding). I finish up the Install of the 3000 lbs. Champion winch (13004) on a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 500HO using the KFI 100340 mounting plate. This is not the winch recommended for this mount, so some modifications were made to make it go smoothly.       @@12pastmidnight66 I read online that muriatic acid can cause rust to form. Have you had any issues with rusting on your project ?? I may need to add an extra step and neutralize with baking soda and water before painting .

      @@andyanderson7712 I have seen some flash rust with steel parts if left in a wet area. for steel I will give a good rinse and a final clean with acetone or brakeclean to get all the water out of the pores.

      not having to bake it, I've shot alot of 3gun with guys thrashing on their rifles and cerakote wears off the same way. I will agree its slightly tougher, but not by much. with this acid washing procedure I've found the base coats to be tough as nails. 've gotten scratches in the top coats on muptl colors but have yet to notice a base coming off.

    Thank you for the test unfortunately the movement of the lens was to rapid in most instances except for a few as you were panning left or right to properly assess the clarity of the night vision

    Thanks for posting the video and showing your work. I think you went into a stencil rage, though. In my opinion, your stencils were chaotic in shape and placement and by the time you were done the gun looked like a painters apron at Michael's. Do better my friend. Do better. Fewer stencils and a better plan for their placement. Liked and subbed anyway.

      @@alanphillips1344 I've done a few things in the past, but the best I've found is nothing at all. aside from a good cleaning with acetone. at least on magpul plastics. I had issues with a KAK brace and the oil that is in the plastic. IDK what or why or how but i found the brace to "weep" oil once coated causing it to lift. must be the type of plastic?

    You have 28x9-14 on the front. Do you have same on rear or 10 or 11 wide rear. I only see that the bronze 4x110 only come in 5+2 and +10 mm. I ask because I would be putting 11 wide on rear and 9 on the front using these equal width wheels. I already have the Bighorn tires. Just wondering if the rear would be to taller due to equal width.

      just helps reach the bottom of the bottle, I found out the hard way the duracote will wipe off the markings on the syringe.

      No it's, not required and I dislike the look of it. It will get a little shine when it gets covered in oil

    Looks good. I'm an artist but have never tried airbrush. Is it very hard to learn? I'd like to duracoat my AR with a jungle tiger stripe pattern. I'm also thinking about airbrushing motorcycle tanks as a side hustle.

      It's easier than a rattle can whel laying down solid colors. A lot more control over volume. I don't do super detail work with mine on the regular but have tried some artsy stuff and had fun with it.

      At the time low pro gas blocks were more than the 8bucks you can find them for today. I actually did some heat testing on this profile and found it dissipated heat much better then a steel low pro. It was a fun experiment, and still have it. Probably put 1,500 rounds through it with no issues. Good times

      Please save me a few bucks. I will start my 5th duracoat job soon and the last 4 scuffing every part with sand paper was a long and drawn out process. I will say that all 4 spray jobs still look fantastic and I don't baby my tools. I was going to say Simple Green till you said it actually etched the metal. If it works for you it will work for me I'm sure lol. ??Please!

      I'm not sure I'd have to go back and look it would depend on the model you buy, to be honest. This one just ran LEDs to the diferent compartments and overhead lights.

      No, I just had a hook pinned to that little bar for quick strapping down when it was cold. I could just plop the strap in it quick and ratchet it down rather then using 2 or running the strap through.

      I will try to find the part numbers they were Amazon finds. The make 2 sizes though, these are the wider ones that fill the holes and are closer to the OEM sized light. Then it's just a cutting wires and splicing in, or like I did and put some Deutch connectors on so you can still remove the bumper easily.

    This video was very helpful, but with using this winch (champion 13004) if you use the FKI 100650 mount it will shift the winch to the right side of the machine and you wont have to cut the hole in the body, your hand will fit in between the knob and the body. thanks for the video it helped me a lot.

      I'm running a clam plate/ drill & lite flight, so its pretty compact, I just toss it in the sled otherwise it rides on a mount on the wheeler.
