    I have made a schematics and pcb using flat design,the routing is completed now if I change the design to hierarchal design since the reference designators are changing will the pcb also need to do again ..? Or can the placement and routing can be retained while transforming the design to hierarchal design

    Hey, wanted to ask Is it important to choose a right width of the mechanical layers? Or the manufacturers will have no problems whatever it is? Also one more question about courtyard mechanical layer, how far does it have to be from the top layer(in other words the component), to ensure ,,safe space" or is it just the designers choice?

      yes you can, 1 step: go to sch liberary of that schematic that you want to copy. 2 step: right click and copy your desired part. 3 step: go to schematic library of that schematic where you want to paste that part. 4 step: right click and paste that part and save it. 5 step: go to component and use that part.

    @1:37 may I ask the reason why did you put most of those port signals of the MCU and peripherals in a bus? Net names should be enough right, since they are all in the same schematic document?

    • @elektronika-fe1325
      @elektronika-fe1325 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats true, and the busses here are just a graphical representation of where the signals lead to. So the bus makes the schematics more readable.

    you can delete individual bus segments with the break wire tool. I personally set it to shift+B in my Altium. You can set it by holding control and then pressing "break wire" in the edit menu at the top of the screen

    Thank you very much for so helpful videos. Quick question regarding repeat function... let's say I want to create netclass for each of the repeat blocks to make layout easier. Is there an automated way to add all repeated signals from a block to a specific netclass? On the example of the vide, I would need to have one netclass that contains TP1, TN1, GAIN1 and RES1; and another netclass called TP2, TN2, GAIN2, RES2 and so on.

    Hello, great video. I'm a beginner and I have a question : Each time it connect a track and a pad or a track to another track, there's a white symbol appearing next to the connection. The white symbol is the white circle with two tracks crossing each other inside? Do you know what could be the cause of this (clearance issue) and I How can solve it?

    • @elektronika-fe1325
      @elektronika-fe1325 ปีที่แล้ว

      This means that you are trying to connect two different nets together and the symbol indicates, you will make a short circuit. This is what you usually don't want to do anyway.

      @@elektronika-fe1325 Hello, thank you very much for your feedback 😁. In my wiring diagram, I have components wired in parallel and others connected in series. However, in my PCB file, as long as two tracks are connected or two components are connected (through a track and their pads) respecting the wiring diagram, can I deactivate the "short-circuit" option in the design >> Rules menu so I can connect my components following my electrical diagram? Thank you in advance for your precious support. Cordially.

    • @kevinhoublon8630
      @kevinhoublon8630 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@elektronika-fe1325 Hello, thank you very much for your feedback 😊. I've tried "Shift + R" :) but now the tracks seem to avoid the pads of the components but I want the tracks to connect to the pads of the components (so after clicking "Shift +R", I had to go in "Preferences >>PCB Editor>>Interactive Routing ") like the following video at the minute 8:30 for example : m.th-cam.com/video/75myMpZBUgk/w-d-xo.html In his videos, he connects the pads of his components thanks to tracks (following his diagrams in the minute 00:49 of the video) This is exactly what I do but at the difference of him, I had the white "Short-circuit" symbol appearing each time I connected a track to the pads of a component. This is why I allowed the "Short-circuit" in the design Rule menu which removed the "Short-circuit" symbol.
