It was sad this was a non-title bout because both men didn't make weight. Jose was at 147, Chico was at 149. They were both above the 135lbs. Limit.😢

Brought to my attention that Castillo came in 3.5 lbs over the contractual weight which was a bit unfair. Corrales took the fight anyway. Unfair for one fighter to have to cut down 3.5 more lbs and it probably did make a difference these guys were so close in ability. Did not help that Corrales fought Castillo's fight inside rather than using his reach and speed on the outside.

Castillo got over confident in the first fight and got KOd. I have to say the ref gave Corrales too much time twice or it might have gone the other way. There was no doubt in this fight, Castillo won the fight with a KO. Both fighters came to fight and put on a display of what boxing is supposed to be. A third fight never happened. Too bad.
He also beat Mayweather and got robbed.
