Why do we make discipling so hard?
Are we truly different from the world? This challenging question invites us to examine our lives as disciples of Christ. The Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 reminds us of our global call to 'go and make disciples.' It's not just about church attendance, but a transformative lifestyle that should set us apart. We're called to love God above all else, even family, and to carry our cross daily. This means embracing self-denial and being willing to endure hardships for Christ. As we count the cost of discipleship, we're reminded that following Jesus isn't always easy, but it's immensely rewarding. Let's recommit to staying 'salty' - maintaining our distinctive Christian flavor in a world that often pushes against God's values. How can we take that first step towards deeper discipleship today?

Discipleship
มุมมอง 919 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
In our journey of faith, we're called to embrace discipleship wholeheartedly. The passage from Luke 9:23 challenges us to 'deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Jesus.' This isn't a casual invitation, but a profound call to transformation. Discipleship isn't like a gym membership we can neglect; it requires active participation and growth. It's about moving from spiritual infancy ...

Margins
มุมมอง 1214 วันที่ผ่านมา
Today, we're exploring the vital concept of margins in our spiritual lives. Just as we need space in our luggage when traveling, we need space in our lives for God to work. The book of Luke shows us that even Jesus, despite His divine nature, regularly withdrew to spend time alone with God. This teaches us the importance of creating intentional pauses in our busy lives for spiritual renewal. We...

It's OKAY to be Broken
มุมมอง 3128 วันที่ผ่านมา
In our journey of faith, we often encounter moments when we're not okay, and that's perfectly fine. The story of David in Psalm 34 reminds us that even in our brokenness, God hears our cries and is close to the brokenhearted. This passage encourages us to be vulnerable with our struggles, to cry out to God, and to trust in His deliverance. It's a powerful reminder that our faith isn't about pre...

    When I'm alone is when I start to confront all the errors all the discontent of the actions that I have caused or have encountered I find that when I'm alone the longer I'm alone the deeper I get into the memories and feelings that come from the memories and things that confront me about myself that need to be changed or healed i don't know where I'm going with this but somewher

    • @salemcovenant
      @salemcovenant ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for taking the time to respond... Yeah, unearthing all the errors of our past isn't easy... And often times it brings up tough feelings to work through. You mentioned a few times that you're alone when you do this. Do you have anyone that you can trust around you to be able to work through things together? We are meant to be in community and work through things together. Also, do you know Jesus personally? His forgiveness is key! Then, He works together with us to work through all the junk in our lives. (Caused by us or caused by others). Email us if you'd like to continue talking.

    Ok, so Ravi was a sex pervert, a lier, and a hypocrite, but hey, he was saved because he accepted Christ as his lord and savior, thereby gaining the reward of heaven, no matter what! What a laughable, incredible and stupid belief system! Christanity is a false religion and has fooled millions into believing this nonsense.

  • @dr.k.t.varughese3151
    @dr.k.t.varughese3151 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes, if Ravi can't be trusted, who else can't be trusted? Can you also teach how to have control over lust and wealth for Evangelist and Pastor's when there are so many out there doing it as a business to make riches for themselves?.

  • @johnhammond6423
    @johnhammond6423 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ravi Zacharias teachings were just a lot of Gish galop and rhetoric. He never addressed any evidence for the existance of his God. In other words, he was very good at telling stories and appealing to the emotions and those that already were believers and the gullible lapped it up. As for those of us that actually have critical thinking skills this low life was an embarrassment to his own religion.
