the ending in episode 10 seems like not the real end .. at least they give the show 12 eps to end it well.. a season 2 is somewhat impossible because of the huge expenses they spent in every episode..
That’s exactly what I thought!! We could’ve had a proper ending had they extended it by 2 more episodes at least… since season 2 is most likely out of the picture

Funny last yr only those who'd known about the 8ths sacrifices knew who Rosie was now he's a super star and I love it. You see as a kid I was fascinated with WWII aviation especially the B-17s. As such when I grew older I found out about and joined the 8th AAF HISTORICAL SOCIETY. It's because of that I was amongst these real heroes including Rosenthal. That's what excited me most about Masters of the air I saw what Band of brothers and the Pacific did for those guys. It was my sincere hope the same would happen for the men of the 8th and it has.

Oh that would be really great. There’s more to his journey than meets the eye. The part after the war where he joined the trials at Nuremberg to prosecute Nazi officials… oh, I would love to see it materialized on screen!

His story is immortalized! The only bomber left in his 3rd combat mission and he hums Artie Shaw’s The Chant. And completed 52 combat missions!
I read the book & it was EXCELLENT. Then I watched the series and it was well done also, but in all the pictures in the book and elsewhere I never saw one of Robert Rosenthal with a mustache. He was pretty bad ass though anyone who keeps flying missions like that after completion of the mandatory 25 is incredibly brave. But to have completed 52 and then volunteering to go to the Pacific and continue flying combat takes a special kind of man. He just further exemplifies why the greatest generation was GREAT. RIP Rosie. FLY NAVY!!!
I haven’t read any book about Rosie, but if I remember correctly, I think I read his name being mentioned in Jimmy Stewart Bomber Pilot book because when I watched this series Rosie’s name already sounded familiar. But again, I learned more about him while watching this and I was blown away by his story! And yes, I noticed about the mustache, too. But I actually don’t mind with the actor’s choice to give Rosie a slightly different look. The most important thing is he embodied Rosie brilliantly and from his interviews I can say that he did his research and tried his best to portray him. RIP Rosie… his courage and legacy go on
@@benthefangirl5009 I was referring to the book Masters of the air. There was so much more in the book than in the series on apple plus. Think if they had wanted to encompass everything in the book into the series it would have been at least 20 episodes. I haven't read bomber pilot but Jimmy Stewart was pretty amazing too over 20 combat missions in B-24's. He even flew combat in Vietnam before retiring as an Air Force General. There was also some good info about Clark Gable in the book as well. He made a series called combat America and you can still watch it on either Netflix or Prime. FLY NAVY!!!

Totally agree! Nate Mann as Rosie is a crazy good surprise I rarely find in a show and the way he portrayed Rosie with such ease and elegance is like a revelation.
