So we had murderballs, a tripod invasion, signals looking into the office, something in the locker, a dead animal, Kerfus was possessed by a demon, a SECOND catapult prank, TWO drives exploded, AND we ran out of coffee! All of this was like in just 2 hours! All within like the first hour!

The mp3008 is a German submachine gun that was copied from the British Sten gun. The inaccuracy of this game is that the mp3008 was design in 1945, and the game is set in 1942.

Some of my notes about the maps: This collection features a version of Endor similar to the one in the playable demo featured in the Star Wars Original Trilogy DVD set which IS playable if you have the copy and an original Xbox. Sadly, the demo is not playable when running the DVD on the Xbox 360 due to some weird backwards compatibility issue. This version has white light markers placed by the devs for where the log traps are located in the DVD demo presumably for a later build. These light markers can be found by the rebel end of the east trail that infantry usually ignore (a rolling log trap location is featured in the DVD build) and a second marker is on the hill beside the bunker (this location is where a mounted turret barricade would be in the DVD build). As previously mentioned, beta Endor features a rolling log AT-ST trap like the one seen in the movie. Its a physics-based mechanic and probably my favorite piece of cut content (even though it can kill infantry if they mess with it too much). Its also the reason why the AT-ST has its signature wobbling death animation as it mimics the movement of the AT-ST in the movie that was disabled using the rolling logs. The bunker doesn't have an interior yet so you just have to shoot the exterior but, it doesn't have any real impact on the outcome of the battle. Its worth noting that these variants lack the faction classes featured in the beta/demo so things like the Wookiee Smuggler as an engineer, beta announcer voices, and mounted turret barricades are not present. Surprisingly, the build pads for the barricade variants w/o turrets work. A lot of these mounted turret barricade locations use default turrets as placeholders (assuming the code for the barricade turrets is missing but, they can be found in the Original Trilogy DVD demo (I would recommend any modders to try reverse-engineering that to restore the turrets code). I actually like the Beta Yavin more than what we got. It features the Rebel briefing room from New Hope (which is still in-game but the textures are removed and replaced with 2 computers). There's even the upper level of the temple where the vanguard spots the ships landing at the base. The placement of the attacker bridge is better contextualized with the placement of the attacker starting point being further back instead of tucked to the side like it is in the final version. The map is larger but features a lot of cool jungle shortcuts for a more jungle guerilla style. The "pool aqueduct" is not present but there is a dried riverbed that looks like it would have flowed into the south river. This trail would later become the path running alongside the aqueduct. Beta Theed is need because of how big it is but, it feels like a proof-of-concept map more than anything although I do like the scale of the map when compared to the version we got at release because the map feels more like a full fledged city and even features a river/pond area that looks like the area that Quigon, Obiwan, and Jar Jar's water speeder ascends from in Episode I. My biggest complaint with the map is that arrangement of a lot of the structures don't make sense. There's some pavilion/rotundas where the upper windows are just double door textures and there's some buildings where they were probably going to have interiors but, just have weird collisions that allow the player to see through invisible walls. Beta Geonosis is fun as a quick battle featuring a larger scale in regards to how many Techno Union ships there are to make it feel more like the movie but, the abundance of Techno Union ships also makes the battle pretty short since CIS forces tend to spawn on the ones closes to the Republic starting points. There's also the core ships taking off in the background which is pretty neat (even if the models look a bit crusty). They were cut from the final build in favor of the one seen in the matte painting background. The pathing for the ambient vulture droids flying around the map is also pretty goofy since they're all flying too slow with some even flying the wrong direction (Tokyo drifting). There's a second Beta Geonosis map called "Test Map: Xbox Beta" but, its actually the version seen in the Battlefront 2004 trailer with the clones running across the dunes. Beta Dune Sea is literally THE best map in the collection as the map was suppose to be 2x larger than the one we got but, was probably downscaled for either pacing or hardware limitations at the time (since it was 2004). The skybox/dome for the map is the one used in the release build but it had a redder/orange afternoon sky in the Battlefront trailer similar to how it looked in the Tusken scene in Episode II. It features a larger Tusken Raider camp where the Homestead/Cisterns would be in the release version. This Tusken camp is actually a replica of the one seen in Episode II with the Lars farm/homestead being further north. The Imperial starting point from the release version is present but, the original starting point is actually way further south; giving the narrative that both factions are closing in Beggar's canyon (at least I assumed the playable area was suppose to be Beggars Canyon). The Sandcrawler is actually further away in a location similar to where its implied to be in relation to the Lars farm in New Hope. The Sandcrawler is also 2x larger with the underside being explorable. There's also that weird little droid with the lightup ball on it but its not textured. The droids outside the crawler are arranged similar to the scene in New Hope. There's also not one but FOUR Sarlacc pits on the map; really putting into perspective the original scale of 2004 Battlefront. There's also the iconic Krayt dragon skeleton featured in New Hope near the release location of the sandcrawler. Its probably my second favorite piece of cut content and honestly should have been kept in the release build. I honestly play this version of Dune Sea more than the actual one now. Beta Hoth is cool because its implied that the Empire was suppose to very literally destroy Echo Base since all of the Rebel command posts (with the exception of the hangar) being destructible and having destroyed variants. The map is a bit janky though since the interior structures all have a weird one-way barrier that stops Rebels from entering them once they exit the structures. When you do explore the interior of the main base (the hangar), its fully modeled and even includes the command center (despite it not being used as a command post in this build). There's even an extra corridor in the tunnel between the command center/east bunker that's crudely blocked off with computer servers that (based on its general location) would have led to the backdoor entrance to Echo Base where the evacuating Rebels are seen at the end of the Battle of Hoth in the film (not to be confused with the transport location seen in Battlefront 2). This cut area location would later be featured in (of all placed) the PSP Battlefront: Rebel Renegade. The map also features 3 AT-ATs like in the film that all start further away (instead of 2 like in the release). The 3rd AT-AT was cut obviously due to balancing. Also the trenches lack detail and collisions in this build. Its still a neat map showing what could have been. Beta Kamino is the version featured in early promotional screenshots for the game and on the old Battlefront website. Some of you might know this map by its unofficial name Nurioca City where someone passed it off as a new map on Filefront. It features some assets that would be cut from release but appear in Battlefront 2 (namely the version of the platform with the intersecting blocks used as a hill marker in Battlefront 2 Kamino). The weird pavilion/bunker things aren't finished but, featured a ball thing inside of them (probably as a joke to make them look like bells). The cloning facilities lack interiors in this build but, have weird windows showing liminal space interiors. The locations for the side door entrances for the facilities have weird texturing showing where the doorways would eventually be in the final build. There's AA turrets on the map but, they're really janky with slow turning speeds and even slower moving projectiles. They fire weird proton/ion torpedo-like projectiles that don't lock on targets (at least I didn't have any luck getting them to lock on). The overall layout of the map actually feels more like a blend between OG Battlefront 2 Kamino and DICE Battlefront 2 Kamino. The map also has a very large playable area for starfighters and you can even fly underneath the city platforms. With some more polish this map had the potential to rival Bespin Platforms as a starfighter map and I honestly like it more than what we got at release.

The Library took almost a whole hour. I get it exists for the narrative but god does is it such a tedious level 🙄

4:04:45 Rewatching this stream after finishing Medal of Honor, this supposed North Africa campaign in the original Medal of Honor is a false memory. There was no Africa campaign in the first Medal of Honor and I have no idea what I’m talking about. I may have been confusing it with the North Africa campaign in Medal of Honor: European Assault 😅

Random thing I just realized…in the new Indiana Jones movie, Dial of Destiny, the castle in the beginning is implied to be Castle Wuwelsberg (where the German hid artifacts/art) which is the same castle in the game. In the game, you retrieve the Knife of Abraham while in the movie, Indiana Jones retrieves the tip of the spear that wounded Jesus. The tip of the spear looks like a knife. Also the train they take in the movie disembarks from the station at the foot of the castle. In Underground, there is ALSO a train station at the bottom of the castle! Both of these were produced by Steven Spielberg! I don’t think this was a coincidence!

Fun things I learned playing this game: Putting in the code SSPIELBERG into the enigma machine unlocks a playable tiger stripe velociraptor because the game was developed by Spielberg at the same time as Lost World: Jurassic Park AND the storyboard artist for Medal of Honor is the same guy that storyboarded Jurassic Park! Also, all of Paterson’s missions in Heroes take place between Needle in the Haystack and Several Bridges Too Far in Frontline! Absolutely WILD!

It took hours to make the audio of the Afterlife BGM sound as natural as possible. It wasn’t modded into the game. The fans in the background will be less noticeable in the later VODs. This was from a literal year ago and my audio quality has improved since then.

For context, in SimCity 3000, there’s a track named New Terrain. The second half of it samples the instrumentals from Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve and I’ve been trying to figure out where I heard the instrumentals from for the past 3 years so I had a literal conniption when I realized where it was from.
