I can't say I was originally thrilled of a recast, but for the longevity of the franchise, I am with it. I am actually excited now and can't wait to see who it is. In my gossip moment, my thought is that Aldis was the one they offered it to. I would LOVE him in it, but I see the point of him having his own career path and how this COULD disrupt his momentum. Perry is acting like this was the 54th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment in Glory. They weren’t. The 6888 was sent near the end of the war. This review is ridiculous.

This movie seems too good to have been directed by Tyler Perry. He must’ve had an outstanding team behind him! This was one of my favorite movies of 2024. Excellent movie!🍿

It's not too often for me to watch a movie back-to-back. Yesterday, I watched twice in a row and shed a few tears. These phenomenal women should have been celebrated decades ago, hence the importance this movie is in highlighting their tenacious greatness. Each actress' performance was stellar. They refused to fail and refuse to let others fail. Amazing in truth! Tuskegee Airmen, Red Tail, Hidden Figures, 761st Tank Battalion, and now the venerable The Six Triple Eight!!! Then there are movies such as The Great Debate, The Green Book, and Something the Lord Made. These movies, and so many others that tell the tales of Black America Excellence and Greatness in uniform and out, are so vital since these historical accounts are always absent from our classroom by design. On tomorrow, Christmas day, I now know that I will sit and relax and watch these movies starting with the Great Debate. This 6888 Battalion is indeed a must watch. My father, more than 40 years in an Army uniform. Three uncles in the Army, two in Vietnam, another in the Marines, another in the Air Force, and me, 20 years in the Navy. These movies mean something to me, and I am so proud of these forebearers, and I honor them.
