Knowing what size Single OHV motor you got? (Belinda strips her motor.)
Thank you for this video. It is exactly what I need to do.
comment from PNG
My belt sits looser than yours with clutch engaged but it still grabs and tries driving it forward
Carb is a PWK-DYH34
VM22 Carb?
It's one I bought of either Temu or Aliexpress. Was quite cheap.
Interested about the carb as well, wouldn't have the link or the specs would ya, I've got same engine and cos too many options I'll probably choose a stink one
Hey Bazza - what's the carb you're running there, mate?
@@AndrewJSimpson check out my Facebook page for Bazzas Garage. I have put photos on there.
How much for you to finish off my build ready for the new season 😂😂
I always watch your stuff, …great advice too. At 4:14 …I cringed, …I no longer wear sleeves while using a drill press. It’s scary how accidents happen.
Have watched your video on Ackerman..when setting it is the string in center of hole where tie rod bolts thanks from Australia
Yip the center of the front axle bolt to the center of the rear axle . then the tie rod bolt should be on the center of that line.
Where did you order the v-belt pulleys from and what are the sizes?
When I got into lawnmower racing, I was always told bigger pulley on the engine and smaller on the transmission. Can you tell me why this isn’t a good idea? It makes sense to me as ok see it, you would want your engine to turn less times for more forward travel.
Hey been in the mowers forever funny I just pickup a peerless gearbox and a 26hp kohler just started on an old frame great work. Thanks for the tips
Nice clean cut job man.👍
Another great video!
Sounds like it gives him a top speed of about 27 miles an hour
Nice video, great work.
What chains and sprockets are you using? Motorbike 520?
Buggar i forgot to mention that . I use 428 chain and rear sprocket is also 428 then O8B on the front sprocket that goes onto the Right angle drive.
Hey thanks for making this video. I'm in the USA do you know where I can find replacement gears and bearings to do a rebuild. The unit I have is in very poor condition. Thanks in advance.
I think you mower shop should be able to get parts.
I really like the videos. I’m jealous in the states and mid. Alabama I know of no mower racing going. Be that as it may I still would like to build a racer anyway. Have frames and I have an engine like you said but I can’t find replacement piston and rings even gaskets. Could you suggest a source? Thanks in advance and kiss 🤣
Would you knock back a 1m axle because the dish of the wheels make the overall about 1100mm?
Hiya. No part of the mower can be more than 1 meter wide. If you had 2 stakes in the ground, 1 meter apart, you need to be able to fit through.
Great video! Thanks for showing this!
Informative as always! 👍
Thanks for sharing. I like your frame table too👍
Thanks for watching
Cool
Very nice informative video. Very nice mower build too👍😊
Cool looked like a fun day hopefully will make it to the next event. I’ve put up i few shorts of my build hopefully pass green sheeting
Yeahya
Thats awsome 👍I like seeing all the different builds. I like pausing and looking at the ideas of panning out the fenders and different seat ideas and the different ways people make their bumpers as those seem to be the 2 most art work and creativity put into the mower even though many other parts are home made they pretty much follow the same standards. Ive been building and watching your videos for about 4 years now and still need to finish my first race mower build.😊
When will the next be some racing on in Morrinsville? Want to take the kids but it's hard to find info
Awesome to see, just got a John Deere chassis to build on a budget to join.!
Are there modified versions of classes 1, 2 and 3?
Check out NZLMRA. webpage for all rules. Also visit your local NZLMRA club race day to chat and see what it's all about.
Class 3 shouldn't say up to and over 32 ci. It should just say over 32 ci. Otherwise you could have a 32 ci engine that would be valid in both class 2 and 3. I don't mean to be rude, but it is just something I noticed.
Can you race rear engined mowers? I bought an old Morrison. B&S flat head 12hp.
Bazza, you absolute legend!
For what reason/reasons do some of the mowers have holes drilled in the steering wheels?
Wish we had an event in the USA like that, looks fun!
Very cool 😊
Hi is there a reason why you dont use your T drive like a diff as part of the rear axle and get rid of the chain and sprockets? Ive got a 1:1 T box but do i need the chain and sprockets to a 1 piece axle for a new gear ratio?
Hay bazz, just a few questions on where you're getting parts from as most nz websites don't show any or don't have any parts! and US parts are everything i need but for 1000s of doll hairs! I have the skill to make everything I need but am restricted by the tools i can get my hands on and some time limitations. Know any good (reasonably priced) places? Also for a 31 flat head do any other engines share the same piston ring size for 1/2 the price as i bought 8 cylinders worth for less than my 311777-0134-E3 single! Its crazy. Im rual huntly btw so im sure one day i may catch up with you in person hopefully. Grate videos its been a great help thanks.
Hiya, getting part in NZ can be a bit difficult. I use Motive parts in Taranaki for some parts and Go karts direct for my front ends parts.I get my pullys and sprockets from applied engineering. Then i tend to surf trade me ,alliexpress or temu for other parts. Maybe others can shere where they get there partrs from as well.
What size tyres are you using front and rear?
Hiya, I am running 13 x 6.5 x 6 on the front and 18 x 950 x 8 in the rear.
Hello, how much do you charge for the front axles ?
Currently $380.00 plus freight
I would just like to highlight a tip i think is awesome and that i didn't know. Subtract the pitch by the diameter to get the drill size! I heard it and went bullshit! Can't be that easy, but Google confirmed it works for imperial too. Awesome videos. Thanks.
yip great to learn these tips . makes life easier.
quite annoyed right now, this is perfect for a project i need, but abolsutely no luck finding one here in the uk.
They are fitted to walker mower decks. You may be able to find on an old mower deck.
Question, Currently building a mower and working on the gearing. What is the top speed I should be aiming for? Current top speed is 22 mph.
Very nice👍
You should actually be able to lock the quill if it has the standard type depth stop locking collar on the quill handle assembly. Instead of rotating the collar to stop the depth, you go the opposite way and lock it so that the quill can’t actually retract. I don’t think a lot of people know this, but of course it depends on your drill press
Great to see a new video!
I’m new to these types of gearboxes. For my application, is it possible to put a longer shaft on? Are such shafts produced or would I need to make on?
I could only dream of tracks that smooth! Looks epic!
