I did that too. Then i went to fight Dagoth Ur without those thingies to no avail so I left Red Mountain for Viviec and killed him just coz i couldn't kill Dagoth Ur without those thingies. Grrr... Sigh... I regreted i couldn't kill Dagoth Ur and therefore haven't beaten TES3: Morrowind. Sad story, bro. Sigh. Maybe i will someday or several lol. I however did regret killing Vivec. Sigh...
