Stan Walker is amazing singer from Aotearoa NZ which is my home country. Singing in beautiful Te Reo indigenous language which we were denied to learn when we were young which to me as a white person s traversity. I will stand with the Maori whenua against the Coalition government and anyone who is against their culture being part of who we are as a nation ❤

Emma is not really a classical singer. She sings with her natural voice, and makes no attempt to affect any style or manner of singing. Her vocal range and techniques are well developed however, and if she chose to do so, she could certainly sing any genre of music. Having said that, she does frequently perform with orchestral backing, which could lead some to believe, having not actually heard her, that she is of the classical or operatic style. Her work with classical orchestras is kind of accidental really. I don't think she ever consciously made a decision to sing with classical orchestras. It is more a case of taking opportunities that were presented to her. Her work with Andre Rieu is such a case. What young singer would not jump at the chance to work with a legend like Maestro Rieu, especially when you are not being asked to change anything about your natural inclinations. In every case I am familiar with, the orchestra has adapted to Emma, and the songs she identifies with and wants to sing. With Maestro Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra, this arrangement has worked very well to the benefit of everyone. I really enjoyed your reaction. You are right to give a shout out to Emma's parents. She was raised in a loving and caring home filled with beautiful music, and encouraged to pursue her dreams despite the hardships resulting from her condition.
