Arbroath

The Scottish east coast town of Arbroath, famous for Arbroath smokies. Arrived at 11-00am in time for the smoke houses to be opened and after sitting by the harbour eating the hot, fresh smoked fish (a must if you visit Arbroath) launched the DJI Mini 2 for a look around the town and harbour. :-)
Gourdon Harbour 4K

Harringworth Revisited

Another visit to Harringworth Viaduct, with the DJI Mini 2, this time taking off much closer to overfly the complete length. I'm happy with the progress of the flying skills, much smoother than the first attempt. However the video skills are still only a short way up a very steep learning curve. :-)

River Great Ouse Bedfordshire

A fly around part of the river Great Ouse, Bedfordshire. Fitted a ND16 filter to the DJI Mini 2 camera. 4k at 30fps and shutter speed of 1/60 second. Given the inconsistencies of my flying skills I think the video has a smoother cinematic feel to it. Still lot's of room for improvement but pleased with the progress thus far. :-)

The flying skills are getting better all be it slowly. Video editing is equally challenging but that's what makes it interesting :-)

Getting to grips with the DJI Mini 2 pleased with the video quality but the pilot skills, definitely room for considerable improvement :-)
Goat's Beard Seed Head

Timelapse sequence of a Goat's Beard seed head opening. My second attempt at this subject, this time using a 20 second interval between images, which I think has worked better. In the early part of the timelapse small pollen like grains can be seen leaving the top of plant. I'd be interested to hear if anyone knew what they were

Fabulous looking place Geoff. Some of the shots are a little too fast in terms of the drone movement. You have captured the majesty of the landscape, it's size and splendour really well.
Thanks John and I agree about the rapid movement of the drone, still haven't quite got the smoothness of control I'm looking for, something that needs more work :-)
Interesting that we were both at the same location and take away different footage from the same scene, this is an aspect I love. Great output based on your tricky software issues on the day.
Thanks John, the software issues were a pain but generally pleased with what I got. I agree with you about the differing results from the same location, it's part of what makes photography so interesting.
You had super weather there. Only a couple of people walking around in the garden too!

Thanks John. It sure is :-) the wind has to be taken into consideration far more than with stills especially with long lenses on. I've got a lot to learn, to say nothing of post processing :-)

What was your shutter speed on these Geoff? Are you using a ND filter over the lens to slow down the shutter speed?
Shutter speed was 125th of a second, which thanks to your info, I suspect is way to fast. I didn't use any filters but will give it a try using one at the first opportunity.
