Its really Simple, Turkey wants to unify Syria, US, Israel and the Kurds want to divide it. The kurds occupy an area that hols the most resources, oil and wheat. 90% of the population are Arabs, Armenians and Turkmen. Many doesn't want to be occupied by the kurds and are oppressed. That being said they are PKK and YPG. Look up what kind of organisations they are or my comment may be removed. Turkey doesnt want a kurdish state evolving on its boarder, espesially with PKK involved. Turkey also doesn't want Israel occupying Syrian land either. There is much more to this, than meets the eye.

Interesting how in the discription states the Syria's minorities-Kurds, Druze, Alawites, Christians, and Armenians. But don't mention the third largest ethnic group-the Turkmen that have lived in Sryia since the 11th century. Turkey does not supply oil to Israel, please check the facts, they were accused that the tanker "Kimolos" reportedly made eight trips between Ceyhan and Ashkelon, Israel, after the embargo was announced, this tanker is owned and controlled by Greece. The oil leaving the port of Ceyhan is sold on the international wholesale oil market, its the international oil companies that sell oil to Israel. The BTC pipeline that transport oil from Azerbijan is own and controlled by BP a British company, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline operates under a framework that limits Turkey's direct control over its operations. Kevork is an Armenian ethno-nationalist that denies the horrific atrocities they have committed towards the Azerbaijani/Turks/Kurdish people and mountain jews in the caucuses and only speaks on behalf of the right wing Armenian diaspora that have rewritten history, he has his own agenda.

HTS are not good for Syria. However, Erdogan wanted to talk to Assad, but he refused. Assad also refused to accept the return of Syrian refugees from Turkey. So Assad has played major role in destabilizing the country

See what happens to Syria after he won in 2014 - all prisons and people killed. Compare it to now when Syrians are happy and prisons are opened with all horror stories. No more persons built and people are free. No prosecutions of Christians and Allawies like Scot claims . We have seen none and if there are some it will be little and individual not a state policy of the new leadership. Erdogan supports the Arab spring which is only good for the Palestinians. We pray that Egypt and Jordan get rid of the dictatorship Zionist regime and join Syria. thanks for analysis - it was very comprehensive. I just found this channel today. Am subscribing for sure and passing it along I think ( hope ) you're wrong about Putin and Trump doing a deal. I think Putin helped Assad get out because Assad no longer wanted to fight the good fight - and I think the rapprochement with Saudi and Gulf States was why Iran was not in the Syrian inner circle anymore. Maybe Assad thought it was hopeless after watching the genocide - he's a business man not a warrior. Putin always helps Turkey - I suppose for business reasons and it seems that no one cares about the people of Syria....although as you say, it was bloodless....but sadly - now its no longer that way.

It looks to me like the US & Israel saw the opportunity to enlarge the size of Israel and give Türkiye a slice in the north. Assad and Russia saw the futility in fighting US Sanctions and meddling, multiple Islamic groups, and Türkiye in Syria, and decided to let them have it. Now the US and Israel with be fighting the Islamic groups for years, keeping them out of wars with Russia and China. You can see who won this one.
