Gonna be stopping by the shop in early August so maybe Preston can put me on some stretches of the Ark like this. Good to see the snow still lingering on the peaks.

These ArkAngler reports are torturing me until I get back out later this summer! The Ark is my second favorite stream in Colorado behind the Conejos, my #1 stream for the trout and the scenery. But the Salida ArkAnglers fly shop has been my #1 favorite for supplies and advice. Memorable story, and true. I was standing at the Salida AA counter paying for some flies in 2016 and a voice behind me called out my name, and I ain't from these parts. Happened to be someone I met in Durango a few months earlier that summer at the Colorado airports conference I spoke at, someone who worked at DEN and also shared the fly fishing passion. Not a planned rendevous. Small world and all!

Love these videos, thank you all for the update! Had a good bit of success fishing dry fly caddis this last weekend. Hoping for another great one this weekend!

I am relative new to fly fishing. When you say caddis, what would be the flies I should be using? Really enjoy your videos.

i found a nice 6 button rattle snake down at point barr the other day when i went fishing up there. Thanks for posting. i had luck on minnow patterns and also the white curly tail grub bite was crazy

I'm in Salida Right now watching this video (visiting from Florida) and the wife and I brought our fly rods! Wish us luck, hoping to hit the head waters tomorrow.

Hey Greg can I ask I’m fairly new to fly fishing but am going to drive to salida from Denver this weekend do you think it’s fairly easy to find a fishing spot that won’t be crowded? Thanks in advance! Total newbie
