Be careful shopping there as the major owner was charged with scamming customers in bread fixing scheme and he is another billionaire that has a monopoly. T & T was sold to him with the previous owner running it. Just watch the pricing as in Canada they are known for gouging.

I shop regularly at the Uwajimaya Supermarket in Beaverton, Oregon. It is my favorite store. The one in Bellview looks to be much larger than ours. I’d like to see it.

Let's give the architects their due credit for a brilliant landscape design that took what was a liability on Seattle's waterfront and turned it into a memorable destination where people can experience nature and great art (Calder and Serra just two of the featured artists). The design shows an uncommon ability to take a complex set of site conditions and bring them into a unity worth exploring. Yes, they even figured out how to accommodate an existing train route.

Fred Meyer was the PNW Walmart before Walmart arrived. There was a time that not all of them sold food.

I heard there were plans to convert this into office space, but that seems to not have happened. I hear west lake center is also not what it used to be, but maybe it’s a little more full given the fact that they have the monorail station. Online shopping is really killing these places, and I feel like people don’t get out and actually do things nearly often enough in comparison to even a decade ago. Honestly technology is making our world a depressing place. I’m sure we will figure this out at some point and open places like this up.

Next step is to close down Pike Place corner to vehicle traffic. 100K people every day think they can park point blank to the most famous landmark in the city. Just close the street please!

Most all airports are all the same now. No need to watch videos every time going to a new airport. They all have clearly marked signs and with the 20 billion ppl on this planet you are cattle and have a number that is it. You are expendable and they want you to keep moving and not think for yourself.

One correction is due here from the description of this video. Downtown Tacoma has not been "revitalized". It's still a ghost-town since the Tacoma Mall opened on October 13, 1965. Nice video. I've been there a few times. Plenty of free parking and great shops. My favorite is Owens Meats. What I like the most is that everyone is welcome here. 🌲

Only complaint is lack of stabilizing, that bouncing up and down is making me seasick

Nice job documenting this! It’s called “Salmon days”, and there were well over a hundred booths, but… absolutely zero with anything remotely related to salmon. This could have been a street fair anywhere: it’s always pretty much the exact same food, art, and trinkets.

Nice video, really enjoyed the camera angles! I’m pleasantly surprised there appears to be no panhandlers, buskers, drug addicts, homeless, or annoying evangelicals with megaphones.
