**Full Concert** So Many Songs!! not my typical video
This concert was a joy to perform and I also loved re-recording the second half of the songs. It's rare that I have an excuse to spend this much time learning and practicing such great music. And it was so wonderful to sing with my husband and my big kids!
I used Karafun or TH-cam videos for most of the accompaniment. I'll leave the link for the TH-cam videos below.

To Keep My Love Alive'
th-cam.com/video/ww9MLvSNU9g/w-d-xo.html
Slipping Through My fingers - I was inspired by this next video link but I couldn't find a karaoke track or sheet music that sounded this wonderful so I paid a wonderful and talented guitarist on fivver to record the accompaniment for us based on the video. I'll leave the youtube video and his info here.

Adam H (adamhayman504 on fivver)
Somewhere Over the Rainbow - This is the arrangement I used but for the concert I had a friend, Bethany, play it on the piano. I added the harmonies we sang.

    Oh I thought I might be allergic to the grapes good to know the itching was normal 😅 I didn’t get itchy until I was plucking the punches as I didn’t know I could leave them on the stems 😂 i was worried I’d get an itchy throat from eating the jam I made….I’ve been eating it in small quantities anyways. 😅

    A neighbor invited me over yesterday to pick wine grapes with her from her yard. We picked about 30lbs of grapes. I then taught her how to do water bath preservation and we made 12 (1/2) pints of grape jelly for her and her family. I took home about 12lbs of grapes 🍇 for myself, but I’m perplexed on what do with them. I so wish they were the regular sweet grapes because these tart grapes made my mouth itchy and when I got home and washed my load of grapes my hands began to itch as well. I’m going to try your fermenting method with a small batch and test to see if it will get rid of the issue for me. It’s a shame if it doesn’t after being blessed with free organic grapes.

    • @GoodEnoughandStuff
      @GoodEnoughandStuff 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @harmonyhomeandgarden what a wonderful relationship you have with your neighbor! Itchy grapes are a little annoying because they take a little more time than ready-to-eat grapes. Although the time the juice spend in the fridge is more of a settling/crystal development rather than a fermenting process. It's still just straight-up grape juice after the waiting period in the fridge. Just not itchy anymore. I hope it works for your grapes!

      @@GoodEnoughandStuff Yes, I am glad to have gotten to know her and her family. We are building a really great relationship. Thank you for more clarity. This helps. I’m going to share your video with a friend who I’m sharing some of the grapes with just in case she has the same allergic reaction when she handles her batch. I have never had this experience with grapes but I haven’t dealt much with wine grapes either. I will give you an update next week.

      Hi @@GoodEnoughandStuff I am writing to give you an update. I followed your instructions and it worked perfectly. I made a couple jars of grape jelly with the juice and my hands and mouth did not itch after making and consuming the jelly. I made a video that I may post to my TH-cam channel and I will make sure to shout you out and link to your channel. I may just make canned grape juice with the rest of the grapes in my freezer. I didn’t save the tartaric acid crystal this time, but will for the rest. Thanks!!

    I was a baker in the Navy and when we made Kolaches we followed the dough recipe pretty much but then indented the center of the dough balls with the back of a spoon and added different jams and pie fillings. After baking they were brushed with a glaze of powdered sugar and milk. I never heard of using sausage or cheese.

    PSA: These are the best kolaches, seriously the best! Better than Shipley doughnuts, better than HEB, better than Dunkin’ Donuts, etc. Don’t leave out the tamed jalapeños! I feel like that one artistic shot really captured the essence of the moment. I really liked your end talk with the microphone in your luscious garden (not garbage with leaves coming out of it) 😂

    We have a line of Texas Persimmon trees along the back edge of our property - last year I made a bunch of jam and everyone loved it, but I've been struggling to get it to gel enough. I think I've been adding too much water and I didn't realize that acid (lemon) is important in the gelling process. About to give it another try with this year's haul - thanks for the tips!

    For the piping on slipcovers, do you do you use bias or straight cuts?

    • @GoodEnoughandStuff
      @GoodEnoughandStuff ปีที่แล้ว

      I just used straight cuts I ripped into strips from the bleached drop cloth. But it looks like people generally use bias cuts because it gives the fabric a little bit of stretch to go around corners. I didn't notice any problems using straight cuts with the drop cloth though. Hope that helps!
