Shes right. I used to do this on my bottom line all of highschool now I suffer from severe dry eye :( clogged my glands up
YALL LOOK CRAZY AS SHIT!
😂
🤡
Thank you for the insight!
I always do this, have been for years, I just don't use as much as her; how come it has never affected me?
you are slowly damaging the glands in your waterline, the damage hasnt reached its maximum level thats why nothing happened to you yet but trust me it wont take long before your eyes are fully damaged and this damage is irreversible
Is it whe same with kajol and surma? I’ve heard they are good for your eyes, I think they’re made from oils and soot.
kajol and surma unfortunately contain lead by-products so it is in fact worse for your eyes according to the FDA, the soot is damaging…i made a post about this on my instagram reels but please do not use and stay safe 🙏
@@newyorkeyedoc1246 ohh ok, I was always told that they give you better eyesight😂💀
@@__Gigachad___ i have heard that too but that is not what scientific data tells us more info is on www.fda.gov/cosmetics/cosmetic-products/kohl-kajal-al-kahal-surma-tiro-tozali-or-kwalli-any-name-beware-lead-poisoning
@@__Gigachad___natural (traditional) ones do help btw
@@newyorkeyedoc1246 in fact not every kajal and surma contains lead etc. so maybe dont don't mislead people?
does it do the same when you use an eye pencil on your bottom waterline?
great question yes it does under our slit lamp microscope and under meibography images it shows that even pencil can clog up your glands and can go so far as to embed into your eyelid skin :(
@@newyorkeyedoc1246 Ok, thank you for replying. I will be sure to not do that anymore.
@@coco.11.11 yes to protecting your eyes glad i can help and be sure to get an eye exam soon to check how your eyes are as well :)

I lost a very dear pet recently. He had been in my life for years and we had shared so many special times together! It all resolved itself in the end - as it turned out by toddler had simply locked him outside without realising it. Of course, I was half way through the grieving process when he walked back in with a puzzled look on his face. The worst thing about it all is that I referred to my dog in the past tense for about a week! Your mindless optimism shook me out of my fog - just in time for my dog's actual passing. A nasty business involving a milk float, postman and an out of control horse!
I think the Fitsgerald's look the best on you!~
can you get them navy dealans
What do you think about all the cons of being an optometrist? Eg sales pressure of selling glasses, not respected enough by the public (as they only see you as a glasses seller) etc? I really want to go to optom school but I’m scared about all the cons...but which career has no cons to it...
Hi! Thanks for commenting great questions, I’ve never had any pressure to sell glasses, there are positions where that certainly does happen but I think it’s easy to avoid. The general public that’s not a problem at all so it sounds like your questions or cons arent really cons. Optometry is amazing but its important to be realistic about all the small things that might happen, if you want to know more about becoming an OD and what working is really like do check out my podcast its all 30min episodes on the real world of optometry, search “Eyes Up” anywhere you listen to podcasts 🤗🎙
I really enjoyed this! Very real world work reality!☺️
Khanh T ayeee thanku for watching! the real world is awesome but it can be confusing especially because we love what we do so much
This is so enlightening. I remember when I used to work as a locum for about 6 years 7 days a week and my family got the worst of me. That is my biggest regret actually. I was always tired when I was at home. Thank you so much for sharing this insight with us. Wow.
Damn 🙏🏼 I worked 6 days a week for those two months in the hopes of enjoying March never thinking that I would never have a “normal” weekend again. I’m all for keeping our community safe but I foolishly waited to live my life and then look at what happened. It’s never worth it for some reason we think it is but its not. Time > Money. Thanks for sharing I’m sure at the moment 7 days seemed right but looking back its like wish I could have the time back 🙏🏼
My wife's experience with this is almost identical to yours. Thank you for sharing this
totally and its actually been a while i should probably get tested again just to know my status 🙏🏼 stay safe
