We help children express themselves with music. We usually let him choose what to sing by giving him photos or drawings. Even if he can't get the lyrics, he has already participated the session through humming the rhythym. When he plays the drum, he has his own rhythym. I will interact with him by playing the piano, or singing along in my own way. Actually this is a kind of communication and expression. Therefore, he will eventually feel that he can express himself,. to express what he thinks and the rhythym he loves. This practice has helped him in easing his emotion. For children with Autism, they can realise what's happening with the help of music. Once they attend to music, they will start to pay attention to what's happening around them. When music starts, children will know what the instruction it is, and what it is about. Music helps them to attend, and to help them with learning different elements.
