the only annoying thing i found was i decided its not smart to borrow 100% and didn't buy at when i was 19 and 20 houses then were about 300k in my area jump forward 5 years save up that 20% down they had jumped to 450k - 500k really knucle down and save as much as i can as quick as i can to get into the market and covid hits the same house i was looking at is on the market again was 310k 8 years ago now its offers over 1.1m spoke with the real estate so far they are up to 1.23m and the lending laws here have changed so all debt repayments have to be less the 40% of you and any partners take home pay needless to say we wont be buying in the area will need to move another hour or 2 from here to get into our price range

To be fair for the investor-owned utilities (SCE, PG&E, and SDG&E), NEM 2.0 benefited homeowners because the utility companies SUBSIDIZED the COST OF STORAGE for this electricity on behalf of homeowners. Allowing these companies to keep 75% of the stored electricity through NEM 3.0 is essentially a cost of storage for homeowners to get back their remaining 25% stored energy surplus. Hence, batteries would make sense so that homeowners can keep more of their surplus. Yet batteries cost money and consume fossil fuels and require earth extraction (mining) of their raw materials for production...which this video proves only one thing: GREEN ENERGY IS A SCAM, THERE IS NO COST SAVINGS OVER FOSSIL FUELS AND IS EQUALLY DAMAGING TO THE ENVIRONMENT, IF NOT MORE FOR OUR WAY OF LIVING AND ECONOMIC VIABILITY.
This sounds more like opinions than facts. How much fossil fuels are used to extract exactly. Then compare to energy storage and use of batteries. The real need is recycling of the batteries. That needs to be improved. Green energy is not a scam.

Batteries also have a limited shelf-life and even recycling operations do not run on 100% electricity. And this just shows you're too lazy to do your own research. You also have ignore the fact large solar panel fields for energy generation take up huge land space that could otherwise be left alone for natural habitat or more housing for residents. Wind blade generators also cause acoustical vibrations in water that have shown to disrupt marine life migratory patterns. My point stands, green energy is MORE A SCAM than anything else. We can have both fossil and clean energy, but to eliminate or reduce one significantly over the other IS A SCAM!

How much has Pge sce and sdge raised rates over the last 10 years....look it up. Even if 70% of your bill was at a fixed rate you are hedging against the future guaranteed rate increases. I could go on but that alone means ....it's not a scam.
The numbers this guy is giving is being mis understood I believe. He is talking about the money that is paid back to you at the end of year true up. They are keeping 75% of the money on the true up not your energy, NEM (net energy metering).The only difference between 2.0 and 3.0 is just about what rate they pay you for your overage.. nothing more. On NEM 2.0 lets say the rate is 30 cents per KWH the electric company charges for energy used that your solar system does not produce in a 12 month rolling period. Your overage daily use is totaled for a rolling 12 months as well. If your total was 698 kwh sent to the grid that year you would get it back at a rate of 30 cent per kwh total 209.40. Now with NEM 3.0 you only get paid .08 cents per KWH for the energy not used for the year. So they are keeping 75% of that money so your new total would be $55.84 for the year paid to you. Batteries are typically $10,000 so why would you even do that?
