Malta 'The Hornet's Nest', 1942
Geoff' brought his very recently painted collection of aircraft to the club for this game. 1942 was to prove the toughest, hardest fought, and most critical phase of the long siege of Malta. April became the 'cruellest month' with the island becoming the most bombed place on earth, and of the 27 Spitfires available on the 21st, only 6 were serviceable by the end of that month!

Great stuff! I do like a bit o' Sudan action.
Love to see small channels making a go if it! Great stuff and really pretty table
Glad you like it!
A superb - and bloody! - looking game, congrats from France!
Thank you
Love the models, great intro, but please don’t use the shakey effect, it is really off putting. Maybe a little info of which ship is fighting who during the fight. The report does capture the chaos of an age of sail battle (in a good way). All the best, Kind regards!
Thank you for the feedback and please don't hesitate to provide more of it on our other videos. Some patience maybe required, as our editing skills are still in their infancy, but we of course, are always striving to improve!
The French escape wasn't a fourgon conclusion. ;) Great to see the old club's Napoleonic set-up in action.
Great looking table and figures!
Thank you indeed!

That cake looks so realistic
Fantastic!
Many thanks!
How did you make the template for the units on the side tables
The ones on which the figures were placed are just created using MS PowerPoint.
Great game! Can I ask whose minis you used for Trojans? It looks like maybe some Hittites were used? Cheers!
They are a mix of Foundry and Redoubt, with a few Newline and Wargames Atlantic Sea People's for the Lukka and some Old Glory chariots
Very nice lay out but I have questions, bearing in mind I have no idea how the rule system works. But, did the boot neck right flank not have time to invest and then roll up the German line? Given the boggy ground, why were the commandoes not in the LVT's which would have made light of the terrain. Also, given the Paras could see the German defensive positions across the canal, were they not allowed to snipe into the unprotected rear which I would imaging would cause some consternation to the defenders? I am referring to the Paras on their left flank covered by the hedgerow of the field from the village. Just asking because that is where my mind went when I saw the final positions of troops.
Hi, good questions. The scenario restrictions imposed on the Commandos were that they could not deploy the LVT's until they had deployed all of each Commando Section (Platoon). So the LVT's were not available straight away and when they were deployed they were slow to move up as their functionality was based upon the Chain of Command Saipan mini-campaign where they activate on a 1 and can either move or fire but not both. As far as the second question, it was down to the Player as they chose not to.
Well done.
Another great looking table 👍
Looks very impressive 👍
Beautiful looking game! Thanks for posting👍

Great history lesson of this battle and scenario.
Nice to see Chain of Command being used.

Looks fantastic. And the figures and bases look stunning. Which figure manufacturer(s) were the troops from?

Amazing. In future, consider doing an interview format, someone prompts explanations with questions.
It's still early days in the refresh of our channel and your suggestion is an idea we're leaning towards. 👍Watch this space!
Beautiful!! 😊
