Faith, Family, and Fighting Like Hell

Welcome to my channel!
My name is Rebecca. I am a wife, momma of three beautiful children, a public servant (serving in economic development and education), and most importantly, a conservative Christian blessed by the Lord.
At the beginning of 2024, at the age of 41, I was diagnosed with Stage 3B Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (HER2+ and ER/PR -) and DCIS. I have been an advocate in my “real job” and in my personal life for many causes and feel called to share my story with others that are facing similar struggles. I have entered a world of scary unknowns and want to share my path to help others, as others are helping me.

Praying for continued healing, and strength and peace to get through this week, and the rest of this journey! 🙏🏽❤️
Praying for a good week of appointments. You look awesome
Nice to see another update. You’re looking good, and I love hearing that you’re enjoying some family time. ❤
For people who like controll cancer is an eye opener ,you don't have control, your doctor might not be perfect but once they do their job and do evety thing can to keep you alive ,then they are doing a good job, you will realise this in a few years, no story is the same never forget that
🙏☀️🥰🙏☀️🥰🙏☀️🥰🙏
Continued prayers for your healing. I am glad that you are moving forward with treatments. Have a good week, as good as you can with all the appointments. (Just my opinion, but I would get a second opinion, before I would let your surgeon do anything else. It can not hurt. It can also give you peace of mind going forward.)
❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
I have st3c11 endometrial cancer...it is agressive. I follow you even though my cancer is different but seeing what you are going through gives me strength to get through my cancer God bless you.❤
This means more than you know. I am so glad I can give you strength, and I am sending all the prayers your way!
You look beautiful.❤
As you say, we all have different "journey" (sooo true). I hope this week future appointments go well, in so far as receiving accurate, positive, doable treatments. I truly believe and need a very good raport with my doctors as that will give me confidence and learning what is best. (Hopefully i stated what I meant) Sounds like if you have the time, ability to see another surgeon. YOU MUST feel sure about him/her. I know exactly what you mean about Bri. I have listened to every one of her videos. Sooo positive, upbeat and real. She is very frank about her journey. Her "bumps in the road" as she moved along. So glad you also found her channel. Can make you smile at a time when that is hard to do. I will let you go for now. Appreciate your update. I keep up with your journey always (i began chemo in Jan '04 also). I am so concerned for you... With radiation coming up, and PT that will be two big treatments done. You will feel better and then concentrate on next surgery taking one step at a time 👌🙏🩷🙏🫶
Thank you so much for your support!!
I’m glad you’re considering a second opinion Smart! 🤗🙏🏻🌻
For wath ,her cancer is gone hopefully, putting her body through a new operation after all this ,way?? Playing with taking chances after you have cancer is not good,
You are looking so beautiful!!!!❤
I’m continuing to pray for you! I’m so thankful you’re doing so much better! Enjoy every moment!
@AFaeriesCancerJourney This is the channel I referred to in this video. She is a great inspiration and fellow warrior! 🩷
I have watched all her videos also before , and during my treatment.
God Bless You on your cancer journey you are in my thoughts and prayers
Such great news!!!! Praying for your mental and physical health! You are so incredibly strong and have dealt with each setback in a real, human way. As a fellow believer, I share in your knowledge that our Lord and Savior is the ultimate physician and can do all things....including healing you!! Bless you and your family!!!🙏🏻🩷
As a cancer survivor of 20 years for colon cancer, I now have a potential breast tumor. I will not get a lumpectomy. I will change diet and exercise. I will refuse chemo radiation. I say women weekly go through treatment and they were not there the following week. I’m so pissed that people do what doctors say and don’t get well. I saw it so I know. Chemo radiation donot cure as far as what I have seen. I’m praying that you get well. Google how to get your immune system stronger to fight. Look up eating muffins with flaxseed and how breast tumors have shrunk 45%. It’s true. There are videos you should be watching by Dr.Michael Gregor. Look up everyone on cancer under nutrition facts on TH-cam. It has improved my health and immune system. 😊
Yea!!!! Good news!
Prayers for healing 🙏
I was actually wondering why you had not lost your hair, had no idea that was a wig.
Look up the ketogenic diet! Dr. Seyfried on TH-cam is working wonders with people. Good luck!
so happy that you have an appointment booked for the next step. Continued prayers.
So good to see you so happy you know you can get used to having good days as time goes on they get addictive when you are finished radiotheraphy you will have lots of time to decide on which re constructive surgery you want i am not suitable for implants so will have to have flap but getting over the c a ncer treatment and one year later i get pneumonia spent last year trying to recover from that and now i have to make the big decision to have or not at 72 i am not sure what to do but we all have to do what we think is right for us the experts give us the options and that is good everyone else can have an openion but none should tell us what to do you are sensible uoy do not make any decisions without doing your research so keep your chin up keep up the good fight and may god bless you 😊😊❤
I can’t watch anymore of these videos because of the stupidity that’s going on
@@kelleywatt4167 I’m ok with that.
You’re not healing because you have no immune system after chemo. Duh
My boyfriend said I bet if they told her Nick, she needed 1000 rounds of chemo she would do it
I bet you had Covid vaccine too. You are so gullible
I’m surprised your oncologist hasn’t told you because your immune system is so destroyed from chemo you can’t heal
So glad you are coming along. I saw my oncologist today. Had radical mastectomy last August for HER2+. Pet showed some enlarged nodes in chest. Am going to get targeted therapy in 2 weeks. I was encouraged when you shared your experience with this, no horrible side effects, that's what I'm hoping for. Very anxious about it. Thank you for your updates.
🙏🏻 💪🏼
🤗🌻
😊❤
Amen ! 🙏 So happy with the good news. What a journey you've been on. Thank you Lord. ❤🙏
I said no to all "treatment" including radiation. Zero regrets. Choosing faith v fear.
So happy for you! Here is to smooth sailing through the rest of your journey.
I had radiation and it goes quick. I was so scared to go through it but it is just like getting an X-ray. It took me about 2 weeks for my skin to change colors while doing the radiation. After radiation the color of your skin will go back to normal. I still have a little darkness under cancer breast. At the end of each week I felt a little tired on Friday each week. Otherwise, no big problems. As time went on I could not wear bra because it was painful. I should have bought a bandeau to wear. Also, I could not use deodorant with aluminum. When they prepped me at my first appt. They put a little black tattoo dot to use for each visit to line up X-ray. Just wanted you to know it is not as scared as you might be worrying about. Good luck with everything. Enjoy each day and pamper yourself.
Wonderful news! Hope all goes well with your oncologist & you can get started on your radiation soon. I’m so happy you can pick up your baby 🩷 … Thanks for giving us an update and letting us know today was a great day for you! Hugs, blessings & prayers, Karen 🙌🙏🏻♥️
Yay for progress! Prayers continue!❤
Hi - I had a bilateral tram surgery 12 years ago. The muscle, tissue… was taken from my stomach. The surgery is major with a week in the hospital. The reason I decided on the flap/tram surgery was that I had had breast cancer before (41 years old - Triple Negative). I had lumpectomy, chemo and radiation the first time and my breast was too damaged for an implant. Therefore tram surgery was recommended. I had my surgery at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. I am very pleased with the results. No infection and I healed in 8 weeks. It feels very natural. I am not advocating for this surgery. It is a personal decision but just wanted to let you know of my experience. I am happy to hear that you are doing well. It isn’t an easy road but you be just fine.
I also had my surgery at the university of philly. They have wonderful surgeons and doctors there. Fifteen years cancer free. I had the same type of cancer as Rebecca. Her 2 positive.
Such great news.
Love your look! See yourself in the mirror. What a good looking woman. Be pleased with what you see... smiling? You should be happy after all you have been thru physically and emotionally! Things sound like going as should and you wsnt. Stay positive. I am halfway through radiation. 👍 You are right. Do as you see best. 💐 Positive progress 🩷. Now pick up your little guy snd enjoy a big hug.... 🤗
❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤍
I had breast cancer this tear two surgeries my left breast is scared and nipple sunken in but im happy i dont have cancer as long as it doesn't come back. Radiation i had no trouble. Good luck to you your in my prayers and so happy for you and your baby boy. But my breast are even looks good in my bra. So i just leaving it as is. I had enough. Just heal and think about it. As long as your content and your husband is happy do radiation and heal. I didn't want anything extra. Was to tired. Lol❤❤❤😊.
@@dorothyquarles1982 it is definitely exhausting!! It is definitely not something I am rushing into! I agree…I just don’t want the cancer to come back!
All great news! Glory to God. Continued prayers, Rebecca! One day at a time.

@@aliceobrien8390 I may not. Definitely not anytime soon. That’s a decision for down the line.
I hope everything goes well with your treatment . Finally, you will hopefully get a chance to move forward soon back into life with some energy coming back just in time for Christmas ❤
Radiation is just going to do more bodily harm.
