7:34 Here in AUSSIE, in '67 Chrysler Aust produced a Hillman Gazelle [my brother had one], based on Hillman Minx but much better ext/int[incl walnut dash]. 1725cc twin Solex carb with Rapier alloy head & 3sp auto. I saw genuine 100mph driving it. Absolutely beautiful car. Off the lights used to frighten Holden Torana GTR-XU1's [the Bathurst 1000 champions of that era] until their worked 6 cyl triple carbed grunt took over.

I learned to drive in a sunbeam rapier but a later model than shown and took my test in a Humber Sceptre . My first car was a 65 Hillman Super minx They were mostly Rootes group A good selection of makers with a different stages of trim from Standard to Luxury

I worked at Ladbroke Hall, the main Rootes Group service depot, in the early 1960s. I worked in the Humber and Sunbeam workshop, the Hillman workshop was a separate workshop in the same massive building. Harry Oliver was my foreman. He said I was useless! I had my own garage from 1971 until 2000 when I sold it to retire. Oh well!

90 points. Quite pleased with that as most of these were before my time (born 1957). I love the lines and the elegance of these classic cars though.
