This video features the eighth encounter in the boss-rush indie game Furi, known as The Burst. Her high mobility, long-range tactics, and camouflage make her very difficult to hit... but not to parry.
The Burst is one of the few Guardians about which the Voice has something good to say. He comments that she's very similar to him, and that "On a scale of 1 to 10, she's an 11... and she'd give herself a 12."
Indeed, rather than waiting for you to come to her, she triggers a trap that drops the Stranger into an ambush. It fails, of course, but given that her rifle is capable of nearly wiping you out in single shot, it could've been a very effective trap.
The fight itself is annoying; the Burst refuses to allow you too close, until it becomes clear that simply attempting to snipe you won't work. But it's what happens /before/ the fight that is most interesting. One of the Burst's drones scans you, and reads off some very interesting information. If it wasn't clear beforehand, it is now obvious that the Stranger is not a human being. No human can do as you do. No human would be lcoked up so tightly, in some kind of inescapable orbital prison complex. If you have been locked up because you are not human, then the question becomes "What are you?"
The Scale mentioned " your mass of fire and void", and the statistics the Burst reveals are... unsettling.
"Heart rate: 8 bpm. Maximum speed: 73km/h. Error. DNA unknown."
