The most beautiful era of F1. As a younger person I can only live vicariously through the footage that survives and the stories I hear from my older family members. Hearing them speak about it and the emotional descriptions of the raw energy of that time made me a lifelong fan. A visceral and mechanical time, where driving fast was as much about mechanical feel as it was precision engineering. Driver and car connecting as an extention of each other, both pushing each other to greater heights. Exploring the limits of grip together and pulling one another back from the edge. I have been fortunate enough to experience a lot in my life, but I truely hope that one day I get the chance for 1 lap in a machine such as this. "Dirty and dangerous, but alive and wonderful"

How much?

Although Formula Super Ford Italia was supposed to run a Group Two variant of Fords 2-litre Pinto Engine it is difficult to track down procise engine specifications. Aside from twin twin-choke Solex or Weber downdraft carburettors, Super Ford Italia engines appear to have run a Ford-homolagated 'Group One' camshaft, slightly enlarged Grp.1 valves and retained the standard con-rods which can be regarded as only having a safe rev-limit of approx.7,000 rpm.

This car was my first real Love. I saw it when I was 12-13 at a skating rink, This was around the time of Ted Bundy only we didn't know who was at that time, only that a girl went missing. It was a very surreal time. I still sport wood for that car everytime I see one.

Lovely looking car. I've always had a soft spot for Marcos cars :) Can I just ask that you ditch the cheesy music and play the real music (that V8). It would sell the car with just the soundtrack, I'm sure. Well, I sold my less than 2 year old M3 XDrive (G80) for an F Type R mostly because of the dinosaur engine in the Jaguar :) I'm sure there are many other people out there like me :) Well, a few maybe :D

i worked in a MG shop and we had a very tricked street MG FT with a twin cam MGA running gear - twin webers and 4 wheel disc brakes red with black interior and hood big wire chromed wheels = super expensive and all hand built by owner / racer .1978 melbourne australia .
