    black hair is not insulting, let’s stop finding something to be mad about. Also his sarcasm fell on deaf ears but he was basically pinpointing how biracial ppl are easily scrutinized from their monoracial black peers as far as not being “black enough”. He keeps overstating the term black hair to help ppl come to terms with him being black. Biracial people do have it hard as well.

    Relaxing = self hate, ignorance and laziness. I agree with the comment, “your hair , your business.” The versatility we have is unmatched! The chemical exposure and increase risk to cancer is not worth it. I rather her wear straight bundles. 4:23 she should had this professionally done or restored her natural hair first. All she did is further damage her hair.

    Ofc, an ex that comes to mind is Jackie Aina. She has 4c hair. Defined and beautiful! It’s very sad that mostly type 4 hair women, vent about wanting a looser curl pattern. When the main frustration is, just learning to do your hair. If you want faster results, go to a trusted professional and build hair plan. Otherwise , it will be a lot trial and error.

    The reason why their natural hair looks thin with ugly ends after relaxing is because they don't take care of their hair whilst natural nor trim their hands. The difficulty they experience with their natural is usually because they don't do what their hair needs them to do in order for it to be healthy and they just wing it or do bare minimum because it's natural and think a relaxer will save them. But relaxer just end up exposing how reckless and careless they are with their hair in the end. Nobody wins

    • @samanthadlamini158
      @samanthadlamini158 7 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      This lady in this particular video needed her ends trimmed and probably didn't notice it or care about it when she was natural and now because she has relaxed her hair , it's showing her terrible ends and unfortunately, she might keep those ends because *length 😂

    I think people who think natural hair is too much work are the same people who dont want to or know how to take care of their hair. I give my natural hair the same care I gave to my relaxed hair. Both are beautiful but it doesnt just happen. I still wash my hair EVERY week, deep condition, use protein treatments, and get regular trims. I have learned along the way what works for me, specifically that my natural hair doesnt like alot of the products my natural hair liked. Last thought, the quality of products NOT price but quality of products used makes the difference. The shampoo and conditioner used makes the most difference, imo.

    Funny story, I met a White Amish boy at a church I was visiting. I later learned that as the months went by, he had a crush on me. I even watched them race their buggies. I think people these days are misusing ( and incorrectly using) the term white passing. White passing is someone who is very fair skinned ( or light) who has black ancestry but who is pretending to not have black ancestry and even may fully pretend to be white. I don’t think he is “white passing” because he admits to being mixed and even says he is part black. He is not white passing. Ever seen the movie “imitation of life”? That is an example of white passing. Someone who is light enough to pretend he is fully white and will live their life as a white person and deny all suggestions that he is black or mixed is a white passing person. If he was white passing he would have straight his hair and denied any black blood at all, not highlight it. Give people a break. Also when he calls it “ black hair texture” to him just means curly,coils, or kinky because of course to him white people don’t have hair like that. So to him it’s just one form of hair texture that black people have. I don’t really like the word nappy either but some black people are proud of the word nappy aka nappy roots musical group. There is a natural hair creature and she calls herself napturally85 which is a play in the word nappy and natural. Many full black people are embracing the word nappy now a days. I’m a full black person who doesn’t care about how he wants to call his own hair. There are groups called “ happy to be nappy” online. They are proud of the term and texture. We have people who say the N-word who are complaining about the word nappy. It’s just another word for tangled or knotty. Knotty just means lots of knots in the hair and there is nothing wrong with that term. The fact that WYT people and BLK people tried to shame us for our kinks by calling it nappy doesn’t mean the kinks don’t exist. Give me a break we need to worry about other things to be upset with going into 2025. I love your channel but I think you are wrong here. Keep doing your thing

    • @CoffeeCuties777
      @CoffeeCuties777 5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for sharing your perspective and yes I know the term white passing has a deep rooted history and the origins of the word are a lot different then how it is used today. I also do know some black people choose to embrace the word nappy and they are not wrong . I was simply stating it’s not my preference to use the word nappy or the n word but every black person has the right to choose how they choose to identify. He’s video did not upset me personally and he was correct about a lot of things I just didn’t personally enjoy the sarcasm because I feel it sets us back but we all have the right to agree to disagree on different topics and o appreciate you for sharing you perspective and supporting the channel🤎🤎🤎🤎

      @ I respect your opinion and I thank you for your very thoughtful response to my post. I think it was thorough without being rude. I do however think that we as a culture and society should stop changing the meaning of words and phrases over time. It causes much misunderstanding and confusion bits it’s nothing new. We have been changing the conveniently changing meaning for decades. Once the word “Bad” meant something that was not good and then the meaning changed to mean something that was nice (I.e Your hair is bad is not something you want to hear but if someone in the 90s said “ man that’s a bad jacket where can I find one like it”? Then that was a compliment. When we do that we have no excuse to blame people for misusing a word the wrong way. If nappy to him just means curly then we can not blame him even if we think it’s negative because to him it may be a great thing that connects him to his black roots. If a white person today comes out and says the N-word with ER is a good thing ( because they decided to change the meaning) then can we say no you can’t change the meaning when we keep changing the meaning of every other word? We have to think about it that way too. So I disagree “ white passing” does not mean someone who is very light who is mistaken for white. It should always mean someone who actively chooses to DENY their blackness or mixed ancestry all for the benefit of pretending to fully white to get the benefits. My daughter is very light ( 2 black parents) and she embraced her ancestory with a fierce vengeance. People can not call her white passing just because they THiNk she is light enough to pass.

    3:20 I’m glad they noted the separation. They are not and should not be labeled BW or touted as representative of BW. Because the separation becomes much more clear when only ‘BW’ of that shade and hair type gets the ad campaign/ leading role, or the state/national beauty title, or some low value entertainer rich man. Then folks acknowledge they are not necessarily black. The distinction is importance to me. Just my POV.

    1:40 she just doesn’t know how to do hair. I’m confused why she relaxed her hair if she wasn’t going to straighten it. And also her hair looks super dry! Even before the relaxer.

    Imo the back of her neck would look better if the ends weren't bumped under but it's not as bad as its being made out to be as it is. I can't imagine being the type of person that tears any woman down about their hair. I'm so over the hate and criticism we get for our hair. I

    People are so bitter and mean to this girl. It really doesn’t look bad. I wouldn’t get it but she’s pretty enough that it doesn’t look awful. I think her German side is coming out because that’s how some girls in Berlin wear their hair. People always trying to take a melanated sister down. She’s living her best life and unhappy women are bitter as always 🙄

      I never thought her hair cut was bad and didn’t even notice the back but I do notice she gets alot of hate but I guess that comes with being social media famous…the only thing Nara did that I didnt personally agree with is suing that smaller content creators after she alleged Nara stole her recipes🤎🤎🤎

    I don't have eczema, but I do suffer from intense dandruff. Her choice of oils are pretty solid. The only things I would add are 1. Pre-poo with acv for 15min (dilute 1:1 for sensitive scalps and add 5 min) 2. Add tea tree oil to the scalp oil 3. Always rinse with cool water

    If her hair was healthy and the relaxer process was done by a good professional, her relaxed hair would have come out very nicely. It would have been thinner, of course, since relaxer actually eats through the hair (it's related to nair), nothing to do with disulfide bonds, but it wouldn't have looked so bad at the ends. She probably didn't have a healthy haircare routine to begin with, which is why her ends look like that, and why she turned to the relaxer at this stage. I guarantee it would have looked similar if she'd pressed it out. If you do do a deep dive on relaxers, make sure you actually read the entire studies beginning to end, and not just the headlines. Because the results WILL surprise you.

      I definitely think she should have went to a professional but another commenter stated black women have a hard time finding good stylist in South Africa…and Yes if I do the relaxer video I would like it to be a deep dive because many of us already know the general information out there. Can you email any relaxer studies you think would be good for the video…coffeecuties777@gmail.com…thanks 🤎🤎🤎

      That phrase has been a thing long before tiktok. It was for the girlies who did their own hair or braids. Maybe the parting in the back ain't perfect but it's okay cuz "the back of my head is none of my business and no one else's either" 💕
