I’m so glad that my black father supported all his daughters having natural hair if anything I’ve had women comment on my hair. Idk if it’s just because I’m in North Carolina but so many of the men around me love natural hair and want to grow their hair out I find that younger men tend to be more vocal about it tho

unfortunately, bw don't have the same hair privilege as other races of women as far as wake up and go. Just like the guy said, natural hair is loved with strong conditions. It has to be long, thick, not too wild, etc. I'm sure the wind/weather affected the way her hair looked on camera because it doesn't look bad at all on the goog photos. Bw should be able to at least not have to manipulate their hair in order to fit in society. Whether it looks like this or something else. Not everyone wants to wear weaves and wigs all the time or gel tf out of it. If this was a disheveled looking yt woman it would not have gone viral, at most she would have gotten some dirty looks and two weird comments.

I've always been able to wear braiding hair for years, but about 3 years ago, I just all of a sudden, became allergic to it. And every time I put that mess in my head, even after I take it out, I'm still having a reaction for a whole month, and every time I wear it I end up going bald, all around the crown of my head and my edges.

I just dont get why we can't make our own hair 😒 And parts of Africa there making hair from banana husk, but it's really expensive.

I’ve been getting braids for a few months and ngl, my scalp hurts and gets sore. I’ve had them cut out the braid gel and only use grease, so I’m thinking it must be the hair itself that hurts my scalp.

Her hair looked like a mess. There is a difference between being lazy / unkept and wearing your natural hair. That was no different than white people going to work with bed head.

If you don’t like how her hair looks just scroll pass. It’s embarrassing seeing how people are insulting her in her comments. Imagine how other races are looking in at how black woman are shaming another black woman about their natural hair simply because it not “styled.”

Sadly a lot of these women don’t care. We told them the creamy crack can cause cancer and they all still talking about how they giving in to the creamy crack and gonna use it regardless.

I'm 64, and remember my mother using Ultra Sheen when I was a kid after the pressing process, and even after I started getting relaxers. Over the years, we've been told to either oil our scalp or not, so I don't remember what changed. With all the products and manipulation of black hair, sometimes we have to stop and think about doing something different to stimulate hair growth. I've watched a few videos about women moving back to the old school way, so Blue Magic "bergamont and the green color" and the Blue Magic Organic were purchased from Amazon to use interchangeably with my weekly wash/conditioning process. On this week's wash, i used after I blow dried/flat ironed/clipped ends. It will be part of my weekly process, so I'm looking forward to seeing some results.

It's the same as what happen with our hair greases. When Blacks are the owners, the stuff is straight. When they are paid for the product and leave the company, the crap starts happening. There were not all these chemicals being used years ago, until the Others started noticing the amount of money to be made. Then the greed follows and all the cost saving measurements.

Wash it with boiling water, first! Simple. Do you think Asians haven't known which chemicals they are using? They just want you to buy the more expensive human hair before the rest of the American economy folds.

I stop using grease because I have locs. I feel grease is too thick and that can cause build up. If I wasn't loc'd I would use grease.

At this rate, 2024 and 2025 is going to turn every BW into their own personal professional cosmetologist, trichologist, and esthetician….. If these brands/companies don’t get it together there will be little micro mini hair salons/spas in every BW kitchen/basements across the country….. might as well make a little extra money on the side doing your friends and family hair too in your own homes…… this goes for the nail salons too….. the nail salons are filled with toxins SMH

Blk Americans used to love us some blue magic hair grease I’m definitely a late 80s baby growing up this was used with hot comb n perm lol n yes I had long super thick hair. I will definitely be using this again

After I read animal hair (like cats and dogs) were one of the ingredients, all my curiosity about getting into using braiding hair dissolved instantly. Yarn is as far as I’m willing to try. I’m not wearing anyone (or anything) else’s hair smh.
