Mori is as horrible as the situation needs him to be. Mori was in the war and he did what was needed to see it through. He was slotted into the darkest part of the Tripartite framework and he did what was needed to see the peace through. He gets his hands dirty when it is needed because somebody has to, not everybody gets to stand in the moral high ground. Mori is whatever he has to be to see things through for something greater than himself. The world is too grey for it to never require someone to fall willingly into the embrace of shadows. For people to get to flourish in the light, someone has to sink into the dark. Fukuzawa got to walk in the light and so Mori did his part and strode in the dark. I've always found his complexity to be something beautifully fascinating, this Amv is so nice because so very few people seem to see Mori as the fascinatingly complex person that he is.
