DS2 I feel is the weakest in the series, but I still very much like it. I've played it a ton, and it does have some stuff that I hate, but it also has some stuff done really well. It gave us Power Stance, which carried over to the rest of the series, Bonfire Ascetics are goated, they need to bring that m3chanic back, and it honestly has the best NG+ of any of their games, because it ACTUALLY CHANGES the gameplay experience on NG+.

Basically, he got his ass kicked, and now he's just an Abyss-corrupted shell of his former self. I would have loved a fight against Prime Artorias at some point.

Pro tip for stopping the sound in the prison: once you open the cell and trigger the music player, use a Homeward Bone. It just takes you back to the cell bonfire, but it resets the zone and turns off the grating music, and it won't turn back on.
