We live in Bath, England. Sometimes we go places. Sometimes the dog comes with us (as of 2023, it's dogs plural). Sometimes he doesn't. Sometimes we video the places we go and put them up on TH-cam.

Purton Ships' Graveyard - (Bristol Dog Walks)
มุมมอง 243 หลายเดือนก่อน
We've started to try and broaden our dogs world experiences by choosing a few curated dog walks provided by the excellent dog walk website - Bristol Barkers. Our first entry is the incredible Purton Ships' Graveyard or Purton Hulks, located about 40 miles outside of Bristol. A fantastic walk (despite the mud) on, what is reputed to be, the largest ship graveyard in mainland Britain. Bristol Bar...

Japan: 2 Days in Kyoto + 1 Day in Osaka
มุมมอง 3706 หลายเดือนก่อน
The fifth and final part of our two week visit to Japan. WE. WERE. KNACKERED by this stage in the journey and our stays in both Kyoto and Osaka were relatively short (although our third video does outline our initial stay in Osaka in more depth and detail). The rain wasn't on our side during our stay in Kyoto, but spirits were still high as we were on somewhat of a DAVID BOWIE quest - we stayed...
Japan: 3 Days in Nagasaki
มุมมอง 1K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
Part Four of our two week visit to Japan. Nagasaki - It's a city with quite a unique feel, an incredibly rich history and (possibly most importantly) outstanding food. During our stay we ventured out to Battleship Island, explored the Peace Gardens, ascended Mount Inasa and ate at the incredible Kagetsu Restaurant. Blessed with a few days of good weather (after the deluge that was Hakone), this...
The Green Man Festival 2023
มุมมอง 3.2K10 หลายเดือนก่อน
We spent a week at the Green Man Festival (secretly, our favourite music festival ... although it isn't much of a secret). This is our second video detailing our experiences at Green Man (the last one was recorded during the 2021 festival). A massive shout out to the security personnel, the vendors and the people behind Green Man - it's great to still have an independent festival and the love a...

Part One of our five day visit to Amsterdam (and "no" Quincy did not join us on this adventure). We stayed at the Sir Adam hotel, visited the Van Gogh Museum and ate (what is widely regarded as) the world's best cookies at Van Stapele Koekmakerij! The Little Theatre - Bath's Best Movie Location (Bath Minisode#01)
มุมมอง 18211 หลายเดือนก่อน
A very, very, very short video (and a love-letter of sorts) about one of our favourite locations in the city we live - The Little Theatre Cinema, Bath. As massive movie fans, we never pass up an opportunity to visit a shooting location. The Little features in Wes Anderson's 2009 stop-motion feature, "Fantastic Mr Fox". Oh, and bits of "Les Mis" were also shot in the city ... and "Bridgerton" (c...
Japan: 3 Days in Osaka
มุมมอง 1.2Kปีที่แล้ว
Part Three of our two week stint in Japan. After braving the rain in Hakone, we were on a bullet train heading west towards Osaka. We'd have three days in which to soak up the city's unique atmosphere and culinary delights. Needless to say, much food was eaten, drink was drunk and we still managed to cram in a lot of walking. I'm pretty sure I spend the whole video calling "Dotonbori" "Dontonbo...
Climbing Glastonbury Tor (Glastonbury Minisode#01)
มุมมอง 444ปีที่แล้ว
A week before the opening of the 2023 Glastonbury Festival we drove out to Glastonbury Tor on the hottest day of the year so far. With Quincy in tow, we made for the summit in search of a descent view of the festival site ... it turns out, it's quite far away.
Japan: 2 Days in Hakone
มุมมอง 5Kปีที่แล้ว
Part Two of our two week stint in Japan. Leaving Tokyo, we made for Hakone. We would only be there for a few days before heading off to Osaka. Our intention was to do all the usual touristy "things" (the pirate ship, the ropeway, black eggs), but bad weather forced us to alter our plans. The high point of our stay was probably our accomodation - stunning on every level. Hakone Ginyu: We can't r...
Japan: 4 Days in Tokyo

Join us as we start our two week return to Japan. Perhaps a little braver than before. Perhaps more foolhardy. Not everything went right, but a fab time was had. Our first destination was Tokyo, before heading on to Hakone, Osaka, Nagasaki and Kyoto. And, "NO", Quincy (the dog) did not come with us on this adventure. The Gate Hotel: Where we stayed. Love your video. How did you get around Hakone? Public transport? Hakone free pass? Private? Thanks 🙏🏻
The buses were really good. As demonstrated, you can walk some distances but the roads can be a little bendy and pathless.
Your editing gets better with every vid! Also Bridget scrolling through hotel freebies is an ASMR vid in itself
I’ll let her know. Bath salts - it’s what everyone needs to know about!
dogs did not dissapoint
My favourite ❤
I bloody love dog walks
Well my friend, this is your lucky fucking day x😊
WOOOOOOO
I know, right?! Two videos in one week! We be cooking on motherfucking gas’s!
Hi, loved you video, how did you guys booked the stay in that Ryokan and around what price? Looks amazing!
We had a broker who finalised the deal and made the booking for us. Not sure of the price … I’ll see if I can dig it out.
Holiday memories turned into cinematic sumptuousness with top travel tips, food porn and Bill Murray tributes thrown in for good measure. Hurry up and travel somewhere else soon. ❤
Oh hi Kate! How are you?
Hyped!!!
Don’t you do any work???
Masterful stuff!. I do, but I can always find time to support you xxx@@SurrenderMonkeys1
Your support is appreciated x
That my friend, is the good shit.
So funny. You make me laugh x
Even better on a rewatch!
You are a wonderful human being.
Oh no I forgot to comment
You did! What the hell, man? You were the constant in these videos!
Hey :) lovely video. I want to book this hotel for me and my partner next summer but cant find how to do it on their website! How did you book?
… it’s complicated. It would seem the only way to book is by phone which makes the language barrier all the more problematic. However, our travel agent (Miles Morgan who are local to Bath) helped us get it sorted (I think they went through a specialist company called Inside Japan). It sounds like a monumental pain, but the hotel is definitely in our top 5 so I would recommend it.
Rainy days are also very emotional. It is very Japan.
A little less rain would have been nice too.
@@SurrenderMonkeys1 it's hard to go out isn't it.
The video helps make it real ! Thanks !
That’s a very nice thing to say. Thank you x
I can't believe you passed on CumGirl8.
I mean, it’s a great name. I can’t quite believe it either.
My green van appears too!
Whereabouts? Where on the timeline?
Lovely video - thanks for making! I did appear in it once for about a second (the pub in Crickhowell for the football). Next time I need a proper slot.
We'll co-ordinate something a bit better than 1 second next time. Our people will speak to your people if we do a third Green Man video in the future x
It has changed a lot since 1977 when I was there. It is lovely to see and virtually taste some of the sights and smells of the city.
It was really good - great atmosphere and a good time was had by all.
Great video
Thanks c
Well done! looking forward to the next part!
Thanks for the support x
I’m looking forward to this- like In Bruges but more Dutch
It’s just like that
YESSSSS!
I know, right? We’re like a god-damn production line of content!
Brilliant Video! My experience was totally different 😂 The weather didn't really feature. I'd come prepared, it was beer, wellies, illicit drugs and music. Loved every second. I didn't meet a person I didn't like, security were amazing. My only complaint would be the prices, beer and food were very expensive, I spent £9.00 on a slice and I mean a slice of Pizza. I took protein and breakfast bars, so they only caught me once! £13.80 for two pints of lager!!!!They forced me into smuggling my own beer. If they'd charged normal prices I probably would have drank twice as much of their beer. Leftfield, Georgia, Young Fathers and Grace Jone were the highlights for me along with FoxTrap and the Drum and Bass tent. Even though the weather was really bad I'd recommend BlueDot to anyone, Amazing Vibe!
Agreed. It is a great festival - the pricing and security obsession on drink searches did dent the vibe somewhat.
Despite the warnings, the wellies were a stupid oversight on my part. Funnily enough - and I didn’t mention it in the video - a fist fight nearly broke out at Black Country, New Road. I mean, who has a fist fight at Black Country, New Road?? I thought despite the mud the clientele were in generally good spirits. Totally agree about the pricing though.
This one's brilliant!
In what way? Why more so than others?
@SurrenderMonkeys1 love all the magical shots of the telescope with the projections... also isaac
Isaac improves most things x
Was Pavement another key feature?
I'm glad you made it out of there. X
It was touch and go for a while. Your Amsterdam recommendation was a good’un.
Let's gooo!!!
Let’s go indeed!
Excitement! 💙
We watched 500 Days of Summer here in 2009. Felt like the perfect place to watch it
It’s a great little cinema.
What a beautiful love letter to a beautiful place
That’s nice.
ビール🍺が好きなんですね😊
I think that’s a fair comment.
Thank you is very nice your video
No problem x
素晴らしい😊日本🇯🇵から
Thank you from England. X
Feels like a movie ... kudos 👏
Well that’s very generous. Thank you.
Osaka looks fucking cool!
It was pretty good x
1 more day!
Counting the minutes.
FIRST!
Lol - you’ve got a few days before it goes live. But … the speed of your like is appreciated.
Do you think we’d be able to watch Elton from there?!
Literally a tiny dancer
I enjoyed the video. I live near Tokyo and often drove to Hakone on weekend. 箱根吟遊/Hakone Ginyu started business in 1951, renovated in 2002. My favorite hotel is Fujiya Hotel. Charles Chaplin, Helen Keller, and John Lennon stayed there.
Hakone was amazing … even though it rained pretty solidly. The ryokan was exceptional. Thanks for the recommendation though - we do hope to go back at some stage. We stayed in a great ryokan in Kyoto (coming up in a later video) also frequented by Charlie Chaplain (clearly he loved Japan).
I wanna stay that Ryokan once in a lifetime. Anyways your footage of Hakone is special in the rain.
A bit more sun would have been good though
Hakone is located in the mountains and is a summer resort.
Thank you. Love this. Can’t wait to go.
That Ryokan though… ❤
I too, was made by bees
I’m not sure what the process would look like, but it might be … “stingy”?
Bloody brill!!! If this was on spotify id have it on loop
If you were on Spotify I’d have you on loop …
Holy hell, this is an editing masterpiece! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Generous, but I’ll take it.
Hi, what month is this you visited? It looks like march, april and doesn’t look to busy.
Beginning of April. It was definitely quieter than pre-Covid … Kyoto was still busy, but you could certainly notice the difference in some of Tokyo’s districts.
Welcome back to the land of the rising sun! Enjoy!!
Always a pleasure, never a chore. Already planning the third trip.
2nd watch, still a masterpiece
You’re very kind c
Another excellent video!
Thanks bud x
Can't contain my excitement!
Try to.
Two hours to go!
