Remnants of Hurricane Beryl is blessing us with a little more rain today. The Mississippi River at Hannibal is already above flood stage. It is supposed to crest tomorrow. Maybe I'll do a video or go live from Hannibal.

Replaced the lid lock switch, and it works. It's not a how to video but just showing how my days are. The washer is Maytag Bravos XL and at least a few years old. 2 or 3.

Pump #1 runs. It was imperative that we get these pumps running. They belong to the American Legion I belong to. We are on the Mississippi River or sometimes in the Mississippi River at Clarksville, Mo. The river has jumped up this summer (2024). We may have to sandbag soon if it continues to rise.

I'm just having some fun with the cat. He is very vocal. He's about 14 or 15, I think.

Freightliner FLD's that are gently used. Some are on the rebuild list, and some are parts trucks. It might be the biggest collection of FLD's in America. We still have several on the road. Last week I went on a tow call not far from us. A relatively newer Kenworth. We gave him a Pete and towed that KW back with nearly a 30 year old FLD! It happens all the time.

Unloading the 59 KW. It sounds real good. It's a CBE. Cab beside engine. There was even a sleeper version. Needless to say these didn't go over well with drivers. They became yard trucks. This truck will be on display at Walcott Iowa at the truck museum.

What does FLD stand for?
If you’re ever traveling across Interstate 70 or Interstate 55 in the Midwest you still see GULLY vintage FLDS every now and then……. Love to see it!!

BAD NEWS THAT IS NOT A FREIGHTLINER. White Freightliner made the VERY 1ST Conventional Tractor in 1974. This is some old THROWN TOGETHER P.O.S. that someone put a Freightliner emblem on. The hood looks like a Dodge, the dash is from a earlier Marmon, ....this is a JUNK HEAP. It sat across the street from Jubitz Truck stop for 30 years.

Tie your discharge chute up so it discharges the grass faster and further to cut down on the clumping of the grass and bogging down
