Hey this is the build im using sixtyupgrades.com/sod/set/QTdqmWJU4yQRynw5zE1iB. In order to do a proper pvp guide i will have to make a video where i talk and explain stuff, but im not really interested in doing that at the moment. I always tell people that prot is similar to rogues in terms of gameplay, you have to time your stuns against certain oponents knowing when they will burst etc (you can kinda see that in my prot videos from wotlk or sod) and the rotation is kinda simple your highest DMG ability is shield slam which scales through block value and 15% from attack power, so pretty much you keep that on CD. The rest of the time you spam devastate (ofc you have to keep hamstring up) and when you proc swoard and board you use shield slam as well. Like i said stuns are pretty much situational but most of the time you open with charge>concusion blow then you shield slam/hamstring depends what you fight then you use devastate etc. As for arms in my opinion dont even bother playing that dead spec, devs made it clear that they do not plan to touch arms so it will remain a dead spec probably untill naxx when they finally realise that this spec needs a solid 100% dmg buff (without including survivability), but if you still insist to play arms your opener is charge>hamstring>rend>berserker stance>autoattack (if you crit you use MS) if you dont slam then change battle stance into overpower back to berserker stance or you stay battle stance unless you are fighting warlocks, priests and rogues. In 90% of the time you keep overpower/slam on CD cuz u wont have enough rate to press mortal strike which hits for similar dmg as slam. But unfortunately by the time you press rend and swap to berserker stance you are already bellow 50% hp and when you finally press MS - you are already dead. For 2h build i'd suggest playing fury with endless rage rune instead of taste for blood, its just not worth the global cooldowns to press rend, battle stance and overpower. Even prot struggles against 90% of the classes in 1v1, pretty much every good class can beat you 1v1 beside hunters and priests and skill cap is what allows you to beat the rest classes if they are undergeared or kinda clueless in what they are doing :)

I think shockwave is a bit more useful in open world pvp, sudden death is nice for 1v1s but i'd rather be able to shockwave a rogue in evasion than dodging 99% of my hits. I gues its more of a preference. Enh shamans and shamans in general are a really hard match up for warriors, you just gotta spam them really hard untill they die nothing else really to do. If your stuns Dr completely its kinda GG

Devastate rune modifies sunder armor by making it deal % weapon dmg per sec and it counts as x2 abilities, which makes items like HOJ or windfury/wildstrikes/thunderfury have double chance to proc.

@@TheCirrusIce yes any good rogue that knows how to stunlock properly can kill any warrior. Open cheap shot then kidney if warrior trinkets u blind if warrior doesn't trinket u blind then sap wait for DR on stuns and open again warrior will be already bellow 50% on second opener so they are kinda forced to trinket kidney if they don't want to die, if they don't rogue can blind again and vanish or just face tank them with double evasion.

Guy is good no matter if enemies have good or bad gear, you have to admit that, if you think he is bad at the game or has no skill duel him and put a video on your channel ;)

@alexmartens yes, revenge stun procs feel nice and they don't DR with conc blow, Shockwave and both charges and ofc shield bash is bis 12 sec cd 6 sec silence. Also forgot to mention that revenge also procs sword and board for more free shield slams

@@plasticbudgie yep, go check it out it's pathetic and prot gear doesn't have a single item with block value, block chance or parry (even tho we have x2 specific tier set bonuses that are based on parry procs)

@@draenog96 yes I agree and retail is a perfect example for that, however when u have classes like shamans which take 0 dmg, have more mitigation than tanks and armor, they can heal every 6 sec with riptide which procs instant heals as well and they can launch u to orbit with instant lava bursts as well. You have rogues which can spam over 10 backstabs in a single stunlock which crit over 1k and they have double blind as well. Boomkins have the most insane survivability with 3 strong defensive cds while they hit u for 1k+ insta cast dmg from 40 yards into a stun proc into 4k starfire.You have hunters which crit over 3k while my beloved warrior as arms barely reaches 800 crits with mortal strike and you can get 2shot by the mentioned classes above while you hit them like a wet noodle. But ofc prot exists and its doing well, however prot is balanced compared to those classes, while you have strong mitigation any class that does not deal physical dmg and has insane cc or mitigation can easily kill you.

@Terlos1 i was pvp fury in this clip. DW fury is actually decent for pvp, it's much better than arms, but still lacks survivability compared to prot.

@@JimCrowce gladiator stance originally comes from WOD (warlords of draenor), but what I mean with this title is prot warrior pvp in general which is most famous as a pvp spec in wotlk and later on in WOD.

@@Allgammon420 That makes sense then I quit WoW in 2007 lol. Then came back to play all the vanilla private servers when that big rush was happening then played some TBC and classic/classic TBC. I only just now started on warmane and was planning on doing it just to see what a death knight was like and found out about onyxia. Couldn't help myself and rolled there and now still haven't played WOTLK yet and am sort of just waiting for onyxia to drop TBC lol.
