How long does it take to cool in the sand? Im guessing the little wells you make are so it doesnt overflow. Is there anyway to work out how much silver you heat up or is it a pure guess?
It takes a long time to cool, which is why I just push it out with a tool, and then I quench it in water. The little wells are there for air to escape in order for the metal to flow where it needs to flow. With regards to how much silver you need, you must multiply the weight of the wax model by 10, and that answer is the amount of silver you will need. You must also add an additional 10 grams of silver for the button. The button is the extra metal that you will saw off that is attached to the main piece
😍
😉
Nice bracelet
😁
Hi! What the send is it?
It's called Delft Clay
@@thatoradebe_trj thank you veeeery much!!)

Is not 3d printer suitable for your job? Of course the hand made is very costable and I admire your work dear.
Thanks so much, I appreciate it. 3D printing would be better but hand carving is such a great skill
@@thatoradebe_trj absolutely 👌
Hi, thanks, for the video, can I use this metod for making beads for paracord?
Thanks for watching. I think you can use this method for making beads if you are going to cast them in 2 halves and then solder them together. This is because of the hole in the bead that you have to consider
Ok, thanks, beads are hard to find in My country.
@miguelangelgalavizparra1004 all the best with making your beads
Thanks You
Thank you for this video 🙏🏻
Thsnk you for watching
Beautiful 👌
Much obliged bro
What do you use to put the black color in the grooves of the ring? Thanks!
In this instance it was just the polishing compound. It's called Unipol. Usually I would use bleach which acts as an oxidization agent that turns the silver black
This was cool to see! Thanks for taking us behind the scenes.
It's my pleasure. Glad you enjoyed it
The owl piece is pretty cool. Was it a casting?
That is correct. It was indeed sand casting.
just here to read the comments about the heavy breathing...
Lol
I'm a new subscriber. I've been waiting a long time for such an informative video as this. I've learnt more in this lesson than in the short course that I took a month ago. 2 methods in one lesson! Thanks so much.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for subscribing. I have another video where I made a Batman in the same way, if you would like to check it out
🔥What grinding head do you use to polish it like a mirror?🫡
I use a standard polishing mop that gets attached to the polishing machine
What kind of sand did you use, if your kind enough to share your talents, I would like to know!! By the way, that is pure talent!!
Thank you so much for the kind words. The sand I used is called delft clay. It is ideal for sand casting because it is very sticky and so will hold its shape really well
🔥🔥🔥
Your work is 🔥🔥🔥
🙏🏿🙏🏿
Hey thato do you polish rings..?
Thanks for the query. Yes I do.
18:37 is that glue of some sort?
It's called flux, it is an agent that cleans the silver and allows the solder to flow in order to connect the face part to the ring part
@@thatoradebe_trj thank you 🙏 that was a perfect explanation
Clean 👏
🙏🏿🙏🏿 Thank you Delight
👌🏾
🙌🏾
ok this is "produce" but what about "mass produce"?
You would repeat the process. In essence, this process is much quicker than making the piece from scratch, not to mention that you wouldn't get the same result twice if you made the piece again from scratch

Hi! Can I ask if the channel coming from 90° angle to the skull face is better than one coming from the side? Does it give better results?
Great question. The answer is no, it doesn't give a better result. If you have sand casting rings that have channels from the side, then you can use it
