All I can remember is the 100 plus cows my uncle has in his diary farm in 1972 before turning into condos in the 1980's.
My now decaesed uncle sold his diary farm to the developer of the Makaha Valley Condo in the 1980's.

Have a friend who lived in the Towers back in the mid to late 1990's when they were affordable. It was a cute little place and sat in about the same place you are showing.

What could be some reasons that the property value went from 5 million to 500k? Also does housekeeping come everyday when the owner uses the property?
I can ask the hotel in the daylight hours, I would assume you can request housekeeping daily, will get back to you on both questions 😁
So I spoke with a representative and she mentioned Housekeeping can be requested daily, there is a charge for the owners. Am still trying to find someone who has knowledge of the past histories of units sold in the Trump towers.

Why do all these place have a grand hoa fee ? What other amenities does it cover besides electric, water , garbage etc. because that’s a lot.
There are some units in these towers that have a hoa of ~750$. Hawaii is a high cost of living state and electrical bills are quite high. I would recommend Solar for any homeowner and the government is crediting 30% of the install costs now with the Reduction act recently passed. The Hoa covers the AC, Cable TV, Electricity, Hot Water, Internet Service, other common expenses (pool, bbq, other common areas upkeep and maintenance) along with Sewer, and water. All the utilities are essentially included and lumped into one payment so that is why Hoa is around 1000$ to cover for all utilities.

For less than 30 days, you would need to apply for an STR permit with the state.

I guess if the electricity is 400 dollars on the place especially me running ac all day and I’d be running a lot of equipment I could see that if I get everything else a grand makes sense. I’ll have to look into the short term rental stuff application. Is it hard to rent 30 days to people ? I would hate for a place to be empty for a month ? Maybe I could live in it in the off months

There are *TONS* of places that are part of the US or US territories etc that have if anything more tropical stuff and drinks with little umbrellas in them than Hawaii, and are *WAY* cheaper. Also closer to the US for visiting relatives etc.

I texted the listing agent for the specifics, from my memory it is about 10 feet above sea level.
Unless owner is willing to drastically drop the selling offer price on this listing, it'll never sell. Looks extremely dated and he's charging for a view.

Most of units need complete remodeling if anyone want to move in you know...I'm saying this cause I've been looking at this building for a while and gave up now due to the ridiculous prices now.
