    The peramiters you listed are for 90% of the corals out there. You should've been more specific and listed best success peramiters example sps like higher alk lvl around 10-11 softies are 8-9 when you say 8-12 well that's everything.

      @@Reeflifeaquaticsky Alk is a bit low, and like you said nitrates are high, also do you dose trace elements? I'm assuming your LFS uses mixed water so you'd need to look into using the balling solution. I'm surprised zoas aren't growing though, that tells me it's a light spectrum issues, but try and fix alk and nitrates first before spending a shit ton on new lights. Good luck!

    ugh, stop saying Zoos this all started because a couple of wanna be influencers accidentally called them that and doubled down, and it stuck. it's Zoanthus, not Zooanthus not to not pick but if you want to educate people and be taken seriously you should atleast know the correct spelling and pronunciation of the easiest species. still a good video but pet hate

    Cool tank. I would make the top of that bridge you've got connecting the back rock to the front a "beautiful" zoa garden. That would look really nice! I would have also put the GSP lower in the tank so it can grow more up the wall of the tank. It is right under your overflow so you will be cutting it back soon! LOL Awesome job!

    Soft corals don’t “sting.” Zoas are NOT corals at all.

    • @maverickbryan1
      @maverickbryan1 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hairy mushrooms do in fact sting other corals ive seen it over and others softies relase toxins that sting and damage other corals so think what you want, most do not however. The term coral is debated heavily in the hobby zoas are closely related to anemones. There is no taxonomic description for every coral species. ALL corals are cindarians, they are all related to jellies and anemones. Hexacorallia callasifies anemones and zoas, key part being CORALLIA. Softies are classified mostly octocorallia but some hexacorallia are included in the hobby becuase of look and care.. In scientific literature you have an argument, however for most hobbyists you are just incorrect.

      @@maverickbryan1 Mushrooms are anemones. This is the point I’m making-- we don’t call a bee a fly that stings. We call a fly a fly and a bee a bee. I don’t understand why we can call something an “insane rainbow mega ultra inferno toxic hammer coral” but at the same time call Zoas and mushrooms corals when they are not corals.
