Thank you I enjoyed it
Thank you for this!
Though not a question so much as a contribution, I think an important addition to the conversation on posture is the knowledge that the gut-brain axis often dictates resting tone and overall autonomic control over the body and its posture. Speaking to your 4 pillars, a general state of toxicity in the body through poor diet, sleep, and stress management will always lead to negative postural response. Meyers even speaks to this in anatomy trains, highlighting the “posture under threat” that animals assume when in a state of fight or flight. Considering patients in the same fashion, I’ve often found those with gut and CNS imbalance often present with the more challenging cases of postural disruption due to the systemic way in which these states affect the body on more than just the MSK level. Taking it a step further, I think the same principles apply to movement postures (ie performance) like they do with static posture and that’s why it seems like athletes in a state of anxiety and stress never perform at their peak.
How would one train for the KB certification with no prior experience?
Love the content. Would like to see you guys provide show notes if possible with reference to the different books and articles you use as discussion points.
How long do you normally hold this position
RIP Vince
I went to elementary school and high school in Parsippany, NJ with Vince (we called him Vinny back then). He was a high school star football player. May he Rest in Peace. This video is such an inspiration.

Wish I had heard things like this 10/15 years back - I even kept a personal trainer at a gym but they had never heard about hyper mobility and so I would end up hurting myself more with lifting dumbbells above my shoulder etc since I have instability in shoulder joint ,hip joint, back and feet
Thankyou so much for this!
There is nothing on internet that explains hyper mobility so clearly without scaring them with all the EDS diagnosis
Thank you so much for explaining what I've been dealing with! I was laughing that I too do the forward bend flat hands on ground and do too much yoga because it does feel good, but my shoulders are more or less permanently dislocated from all of the downward dogs and hyper-extending my shoulders under the load of my bodyweight (also after 20 years of CrossFit-style lifting and bodyweight exercises with less-than-ideal form my shoulders and lower back, along with my SCM, Levator Scap being severely torn) and it causes a lot of additional pain and strain on my neck and shoulder muscles. I am going to focus on doing more joint stability work and resistance training instead of all of the yoga and bendy-bodyweight gymnastics workouts! Thanks again for sharing your experience and knowledge with us. =)
Same here ! With all that yoga I’ve done since childhood since I was so good at it
