1 Cor 2:12 kjv Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might KNOW the things that are freely given to us of God. In contrast with: 1 Cor 2:14 kjv But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he KNOW them, because they are spiritually discerned. The passage says "neither can he know them" - so this in not talking about a carnal Christian - because a Christian has the ability to KNOW the things freely given by God - by virtue of the fact that he has the Spirit of Christ within him. "for they are foolishness unto him" Question: Is it "foolishness" to the natural man because he is not as smart and more evil ? no The vast majority who claim 'rightly dividing' - who say they adhere to the sound doctrine of the Apostle Paul - hate this truth because it limits salvation to God's mercy. Rom 9:23, 24 kjv 23And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, 24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? "Even us, whom he hath called" Question: Are all "called" ? most who claim 'rightly dividing' hate the answer to this question too Romans 8:30 kjv Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. "whom he did predestinate, them he also called" Notice that the ones "called" are the same ones glorified. If God "called" all men - then all would be glorified. The text doesn't say that just some of the "called" are glorified. In 1 Cor Paul says: "But unto them which are called"

Gal 4 "Jesus was born under the law to redeem those that WERE under the law " That's no one today... No one alive today was ever "under the law", or "under the curse of the law" or "redeemed from the curse of the law". You're welcome.

The classical misunderstanding of romans 1 21-25 Paul is all about promoting Jesus. KJV Romans 1 21-25 talks about the Descension of a people to a lower state than they were. Who were they? The gentiles/unbelievers are already at that lower state by default. Their hearts are already darkened. They were already vain in their imaginations. They were already fools. They already made images. They were already idolaters. As far as God was and is concerned, they already are at rock bottom. Being without Jesus. 21-25 wasnt about the gentiles/unbelievers. No. Paul and the holy Spirit were talking about the saved turning from God and Gods wrath upon them. They can descend to a lower state from their actions. Yes. Idolatry can happen to us saved too. And thats his point. No one is excused. Romans 1.........57ad [21] Because that, WHEN they KNEW God. STOP. Lets examine the word "KNEW". Did paul say "KNEW OF. No he didnt. Lets stop putting words in the scriptures. He said "KNEW GOD. How does one get to KNOW GOD? John 14 KJV [6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [7] If ye had KNOWN me, ye should have KNOWN my Father also: and from henceforth ye KNOW him, and have seen him. Paul wrote romans in 57ad. So he KNEW to KNOW God is to KNOW Jesus first. In romans 1 21-25 He was talking about the saved that turned from God. Many preachers skip right over the words WHEN and KNEW and how important those words are. They want to make 21-25 out to be about the gentiles. The gentiles/unbelievers knew OF OF OF OF OF God but didnt KNOW KNOW KNOW KNOW God and are already by default condemned and unclean being without Christ. So of course those wouldnt worship God. They never KNEW God. They only KNEW OF GOD. Romans 1 19] Because that which may be known OF God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. Here it proves paul and the holy spirit knew how to write known OF God. See the difference now? We are to take Gods words as they are and not add to them. The missing word that people are adding is the word 'OF". As in they KNEW OF GOD. If paul meant any different he would have put that two letter word "OF" in the text. Paul and the Holy Spirit never use the words "knew God" loosely. In this scripture one either KNOWS GOD OR KNOWS OF GOD. THERES A DIFFERENCE. KNOWS OF GOD IS NOT IN THE VERSE. Proverbs 30 5] Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. [6] Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. I refuse to think Paul as an ignorant writer. He was a great writer and KNEW exactly what he was writing. And was guided by the Holy Ghost. Pauls letters can be hard to discern but the Holy Ghost helps those that acknowledge him. He wrote romans 1 21-25 as an example that even Gods children can turn from him and see Gods wrath because of it. He was promoting Jesus. If one KNOWS God then that means they are a child of God through Jesus. Keep this in mind as you read romans 1 21-25. KJV Romans 1.........57ad [21] Because that, WHEN they KNEW God, they glorified him NOT as God, neither were thankful; but BECAME VAIN in their IMAGINATIONS, and their foolish heart WAS DARKENED. [22] Professing themselves to be wise, they BECAME FOOLS, [23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an IMAGE made like to CORRUPTIBLE man , and to BIRDS, and FOURFOOTED BEASTS, and CREEPING things. [24] Wherefore God also GAVE THEM UP to UNCLEANNESS through the LUSTS of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: [25] Who changed the truth of God into a LIE, and worshipped and served the CREATURE more than the CREATOR, who is blessed for ever. Amen. This scripture is talking about how SAVED people fall into IDOLATRY through LIVE CREATURES and what happens because of it. NOTICE worshipping the CREATURE MORE than the CREATOR. Hmmm IDOLATRY Much like todays culture with their indoor animals . The word MORE is a measurement of TIME each day. Time spent reveals the God/god. Worshipping also means giving someone or something more TIME than God. Idolatry. Repent. Image is the perception of someone or something. A graven image is tooled. Graven image is not mentioned here. Lets not add words to scripture. If the holy spirit and paul meant graven image then God would have blessed it there. They didnt use words loosely. Proverbs 30 5] Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. [6] Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. A statue or picture is NOT a creature in this case. A creature is a living breathing being. Psalms 115 [4] Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. [5] They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not: [6] They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not: [7] They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat. [8] They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them. This is graven images. They are NOT creatures However they both are imagined in our imagination from our heart. Fourfooted beast is any and all fourfooted animals on earth. We are NOT talking about the infinite ways to commit idolatry here. We are ONLY talking about idols specific to this post. 24 God Gave them up to uncleanness means God has walked away from them leaving them to the wrath of their sins till the day of wrath. Because they walked first. Worship can be just allegiance to someone or to something. Literally bowing down with arms flailing doesnt necessarily take place. And they may not be aware they are worshipping the indoor animal. No excuse. Guilty. Idolatry. Idolatry definition IDOLATRY means when a child of God spends MORE time with something or someone other than God. They may spend time with God but spend more time with indoor animals just by living in close quarters with them. Leaning on them for the things God wants us to lean on HIM for. Like protection and emotional therapy Companionship. etc. If one perceives their worldly indoor animal can offer anything that God does like protection, emotional therapy, companionship, peace, security, love, etc., then that animal is their IDOL in Gods eyes. Making/creating images of any kind starts in our imagination. Revelation 21 [8] But the FEARFUL, and UNBELIEVING, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and IDOLATERS, and ALL LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. REMEDY REPENT Confess your sins daily to God through Jesus and turn from your wicked ways. Seek forgiveness And keep fervent faith. Grace is NOT just a one time thing. we can always go back to God time and time again when we fall. Im not here to judge or condemn. Just to serve the Lord by raising awareness of these issues on this post. Jesus Christ is my Lord and savior. I am an idolatry teacher. Pastor Stout - I live in Eugene; do you know of any Pastors here who rightly divide? Teach as you do? I've lived here since 1981, excluding four years when I lived in Branson, MO, from 2001 - '05, and I literally know NOT ONE believer who: reads the KJV (actually, reads or studies the Bible much at all, regardless of translations), knows our dispensation or that there (necessarily) is one distinguishing the BOC, the significance of Paul's ministry apart from Jesus', and further, everyone I know thinks the BOC is in the Book of Revelation up to 4:1, and later on are (those "saints") returning on white horses with Jesus after we (the "bride") has celebrated (our) marriage supper. There's just got to be at least one Pastor in all of Eugene, or someone around here who RD's and knows whats-what and whose-who? You know how lonely it can be, when there is essentially no one to talk to, right? Well, anyway, thank you for your fine teaching! And, speaking of the "subtility of Satan", makes me think about the "Green Agenda/Initiative" and my "pew-attending" friends who are very fastidious with "worshipful" respect toward it, and of course in the name of God. Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for *as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.* ALL ISRAEL *SHALL* BE SAVED; BORN AGAIN Isa 66:7 *Before she travailed,* she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. Eze 37: 11-14, 21-23 "...ye shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land:" The time of Daniel's 70th week is called "Jacob's Trouble". In order for Jacob to have trouble Jacob will need to be present. Because of this I believe that the "mystery" that Paul speaks of in 1Cor.15: 51-52 is both the rapture of the church the Body of CHRIST and the resurrection of nation of Israel simultaneously. I used to defend 1Cor.15: 51-52 as being the rapture because Paul called it a mystery and the rapture was a mystery. But I then I became aware that 1Thesalonians was written before 1Corinthians. With this knowledge I realized that the rapture was not a mystery at the time Paul wrote 1Corinthians and Paul was at Corinth when he wrote to the Thessalonians so the rapture would have already been know to the Corinthians. Well then, that means that the "mystery" is something else. The mystery has to be that Israel is raised up at the same time as we are raptured. Israel goes into their Jacob's Trouble and we go to heaven. Rom 11: 25-26 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this *mystery,* lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that *blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved:* 1Co 15 :51-52 Behold, I shew you a *mystery;* We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. Two mysteries that line up together. 1Th 4: 13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. Don't get upset Dave, but the Colossians were little flockers. Cross reference the words. The kingdom of his dear Son is his marvellous light! But why is Paul preaching the kingdom to the Colossians in a perfect cross reference to Peter who has the apostleship to the circumcision? (Psa 78:15-16, 20) 1Co 10:5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. (Psa 78:17-19, 31) ---- The Corinthians were Israelites. Their FATHERS were Abraham, Isaac and Jacob along with his 12 sons. And Paul called them BRETHREN because they were flesh and blood family, the circumcision. Rom 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm THE PROMISES made unto THE FATHERS: Rom 9:3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for MY BRETHEREN, MY KINSMEN ACCORDING TO THE FLESH: Rom 9:4 WHO ARE ISRAELITES; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and THE PROMISES; Rom 9:5 Whose are THE FATHERS, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Corinthians: Synagogue of the Jews Act 18:1 After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to CORINTH; Act 18:4 And he reasoned in the SYNAGOGUE every sabbath, and persuaded the JEWS and the Greeks.

Hey Dave. If one reads chapters 4 and 5 together with their intended continuity, the truth comes to light. The word 'but' in 5:1 is a conjunction. It conjoins the "chapters". There is no chapter break or subject change in Paul's original letter. It is the same context. 5 continues 4. The coming of the Lord (1Th 4:15 ) as a thief in the night (1Th 5:2) and him descending from heaven (1Th 4:16) is at the day of the Lord (1Th 5:2). That is the simple exegesis. Paul stated that his little flock audience (Act 17:1) already knew when Christ would return as Peter was writing to them about this as well. 2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; 2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, 2Pe 3:15 ... even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 1Th 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. Peter explained in the very context that the day of the Lord (aka the day of God/kingdom) is 1000 years. 2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. So both Paul and Peter used 1000 year 'day' terms for the coming kingdom. the day of God - 2Pe 3:12 the day of the Lord - 2Pe 3:10; 1Th 5:2; Act 2:20 the day of Christ - 2Th 2:2; Php 1:10, 2:26 the day of Jesus Christ - Php 1:6 the day of the Lord Jesus - 1Co 5:5; 2Co 1:14 The Thessalonian little flockers were taught about the kingdom earlier in the letter. 1Th 2:12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. This is because Paul's ministry was preaching the kingdom of God to Israel. Paul wrote to these little flock Jews ABOUT the Gentiles. 1Th 2:16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost. 1Th 4:5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: Thessalonians: Synagogue of the Jews - Act 17:1 Corinthians: Synagogue of the Jews - Act 18:1-4 Ephesians: Synagogue of the Jews - Act 18:19; Rev 2:1 Galatians: Synagogue of the Jews - Act 18:23-28 Iconium: Synagogue of the Jews - Act 14:1-22 Gal 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? Jesus is *Lord God Almighty* clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of *eternal life* to all who realize that they are sinners deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever they trusted in before, if indeed they trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ *alone* for salvation.

Also, 1 Thessalonians 1:10 appears to be corrupted in modern translations, by changing the past tense 'delivered' (KJV) to the present tense 'rescues' (NIV). This might have been done to support the Catholic doctrines of not having the atonement already (i.e. still needing to live a good life to receive salvation), and having to go through the tribulation period and being raptured post-tribulation. Us saints in the body of Christ will not be made subject to the day of wrath found in Romans 2:5-11: Ephesians 2:3 KJV among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and *were by nature the children of wrath* , even as others.

Proof of A Pre trib Rapture. Pay Attention to the cloud and Cloud's Jesus appears in and With. Acts chapter 1 verses 9 10 11 Cloud. In Red Luke chapter 21 verses 27 and 28 Jesus is coming In A Cloud.
