Hello, this is a great tutorial. I wanted to try this style of render for some time and this made it really comprehensive. It took me a while to understand how the scenes and different styles in sketchup work so that I can transfer it to layout and get the results I needed, but I think I got there.

Amazing. My fear of illustrator decreased alot. The shaded vector is a game changer. I dont have it on rhino. 1.Do you think if i imported my model to sketchup i would get same shaded vectors? 2. Are the shaded vectors clean and sharp? 3. Where do i get these flat surface models and face rotating models i love them. Hope they're not SketchUp specific. Thanks 👍 👍

Really like your Illustrative concept. Have just started to learn SketchUp and trying to complete my first set of drawings in layout but realize my laptop does not like it. Think I have modeled to much detail and imported models from warehouse may have something to do with the performance issues in Layout. I like your minimal approach to keep everything simple and just make use of Line.

does anyone know why might the eyedropper tool not work with patterns? i think i have done exactly everything in this tutorial but when i try the eyedropper tool part on a pattern i have downloaded from adobe stock, all it does is colours my shape black (the colour of the graphic) - I have watched so many tutorials about this and i still cannot figure it out

Hey Banjamin. Thanks for the great video! It really helped alot. I have a question I hope someone can answer. When I export my color by layer scene in a vector or hybrid format from Layout (2024). The final result is a black wireframe instead of the hidden line style that was selected in sketchup. What could be the reason for this? I tried to look it up on the forums, but their solutions have not worked for me.

hello there,im working with sketch 2024 and when i try to export the pdf it ignores all the different layers and line colours and creates a pdf with only black lines, could someone help me with why that happens and how to fix it?
